As a solo male traveler who knows mixed dorm rules inside out, I booked a 10-bed mixed dorm expecting the usual shared vibe. Instead, it was 8 women (a group unaware it was mixed, seeking privacy) and just 2 guys (us). Things escalated when they accused us men of not 'understanding' how we could live with eight women – very surprising and unfair!Mixed dorms are for everyone comfortable with the setup. This imbalance killed the atmosphere. Staff was good and helpful though – shoutout to them!
Booked goStops for the first time and never again. Stayed in a mixed dorm—it was filthy. The bathroom reeked, muddy footprints everywhere, even on the toilet seat 🤢 No common washroom outside the room, and the blanket made me itch. Had to check out a day early because it was unbearable. Staff refused refund, saying it wasn’t their fault I left early. Really disappointing experience. I regret not taking photos of their ugly facilities as proof 🙂
good hostel , Great staff, geart location
Good but not the best, you could improve with the facilities, and do a rooftop or something to make a little more private the hostel. Staff very kind, good service. Rooms are good for the price.
Near Railway Station, Bus Stand, and also Church -if you're a Christian- . Clean, comfy, and aesthetic. Visit, stay and feel it.
The property is clean, the social areas are nice, people are friendly. We had a bad experience where we got locked inside our 8 bed dorm from the outside and no one could get out, this is a HUGE health and safety risk, it took a good 20mins for us to gain contact with staff so that was extremely disappointing. Apart from that a good hostel, finally a hostel with clean toilets!!!
Staff were extremely helpful and nice. It’s in a good location and close to the train station. There weren’t any locks on the door rooms and no locks or codes to enter the hostel. Our door didn’t even close properly so it was ajar all night. The bathroom was small and the shower was open next the toilet, making everything wet. Lovely cafe there which was cheap and good food however no kitchen for you to make your own. Good common room however no other backpackers. Wouldn’t recommend for ...
Don’t believe old reviews. This property is AMAZING! The room was clean, the appliances worked just fine and the staff is very very friendly and helpful. Ashish at the reception made us feel welcome and everyone was very kind. They have a 24/7 cafe which serves good food at very affordable prices. On Sundays they also host an open mic.
The building itself and our room were lovely - painted in great colours, all stone, and well maintained. Incredibly picturesque. Unfortunately everything that is amazing about this location ends at the building and room itself. Our boiler did not work, on asking the staff someone came up to our room to have a look. They had a quick poke around, basically mumbled something about it would work eventually and then left. It did not. We were leaving early the next morning and asked if it was likely f...
