Majka Guest House

1.The owner give me another apartment (Tetka Guest House) instead of Majka guesthouse and I don't know Why.It was 900m away from Kotor main bus station (Majka is only 750m away). 2.There are no elevator to reach highfloor, only stairs and it was high upstairs.We have to lift our luggage to highfloor. 3.Kitchen: I can not use the stove,it was very slow to cook.I once want to cook some instant noodle but the stove was very slow to cook the water so I cancel to cook. 4.Wifi didn't working at ...

It was difficult to find at first so bring some time but after that i had a great stay. It is located in the middle of the old town and i got to know many cool people in the hostel. Of course having only one bathroom is a bit annoying but it is not a big issue! The kitchen is great and having a certain at the bed is also great for a feeling of privacy. The blankets weren’t that nice though but for Kotor being an expensive city i would recommend this Hostel!!

Well. A basic hostel. Missing toilets, door cannot be lucked. But the biiig problem with this hostel is that it is impossible to find. No sign on the door. Hostel is on 2nd floor. The beds are fine. And i think its the cheapest in Kotor.

We stayed for only one night, so we spent a minimum time actually at the hostel. For this purpose the hostel was fine. If you are looking for a social atmosphere, there is none. The common areas are very small and not exactly cosy. The hostel was on a very small alley and was a bit hard to find, and the buzzer on the door was broken, so we had to knock many times, before someone opened the door. The staff was very friendly though.

Mediocre hostel in Kotor, only stay here if you have no other option of accommodation. Whilst Kotor as a whole is expensive, the fact the hostel charges €40 (plus a €10 late check in fee when checking in after 11pm) for an uncomfortable bed, with one bathroom for over 15 people, is daylight robbery.

The facilities in this hostel were very bad: no working wifi, no curtains in our room, no ac in the room only in the hallway, no kitchen supplies. There was only 1 bathroom including the toilet for 17 people. Only the lower beds had sockets There were no bedlamps. The owners did not hesitate to put on the big light even at 1am for checkins, so everyone woke up. The owner was not there at check in time, so we had to wait 40 minutes. The bathroom is full of mold and the sheets had stains on it.

Hostel location is great, but you can literally not move inside the rooms they are that tiny. Minimal bathrooms.

The hostel is nicely placed in old town (a bit hard to find). Cozy terrace. Only one bathroom for everyone and no aircondition in upper room:( Otherwise we had a nice stay:)

Great staff and location but only 1 toilet for a 16 bed dorm is not enough also the shower and toilet are in the same room so lack of facilities.

Place is extremely hard to find with no signposting anywhere and no easy way to gain access to the guesthouse. The main bunk room smelt and the bathroom had mold everywhere due to the lack of an exhaust fan or air flow. Upstairs bunks had no power points and no aircon in the room. Beds were at least comfy and fresh with curtins and location was great. Not really worth the value in my opinion.

Bral läge inne i gamla stan. Man bor mitt i allt, då får man ta med i kalkylen att det inte är tyst förrän efter midnatt. Madrassen var klart ett minus.

Best location! Wonderful and cheerful host! Great communication! Affordable price, would recommend!

It was really hard to check in. It tools is an hour of calling and knocking. At check in we were not briefed about anything. However we were only 3 people in the hostel so that was nice. I think during the summer season another place would be better but for October it was okay

Really cool staying in the old town. Was hard to find, needs a better sign. Staff was very nice. had to queue for the shower a lot but very nice facilities. Well airconned bedrooms and nice beds too.

we arrived at check in time after travelling for over an hour and were told that they had no rooms for us even though we had booked prior. the member of staff said she had sent us an email and hour before but we were travelling and didn't receive it due to having no internet. we would've appreciated a heads up at least 24h before to give us time to sort something else. we also didn't receive a refund for our booking or any assistance in finding alternative accommodation for the night.

Unfortunately we had quite a disappointing experience as after paying to get to the accomodation, we were told they had overbooked and only sent us a message an hour prior to our arrival at the hostel. We did not get any support and were told we had to reach out to the manager ourselves and did not help us sort alternative accommodation. I would avoid booking.

I put everything with 1 star, because I booked 2 beds and when I arrived they told me they overbook so I didn't have places to stay... I try the cancelation like they told me but I didn't get my money back... Still waiting to have some news...

Nice hostel, enjoyed my stay here. Nice location. Just be aware that there is only one shower and toilet for 16 people, so there can be a long line for that, otherwise pretty okay. Only cash payment
