Ustin Nagoya

+ Omg,,, this has been one of my favorite places I've stayed along my travels❣️ as a solo traveler the price has allowed me to focus my funds more to activity like hiking in the jungle for many days experiencing the wildlife with the guides Nagoya provides Poda and Nassip who have become friends over my 3 week stay here,,,They really made the trip fun allowing us to hike at our own pace n doing thier best to lead us in direction of wildlife which we saw alot of as well as making down time in the night full of laughter with thier jungle magic tricks and playing guitar with us which we had brought along ,,I wish I could stay forever 🤓 it doesn't have air conditioning but it is very clean n provides fans and mosquito nets which have proved to be all I needed ,,, I think it's perfect for backpackers looking to have a good time on a smaller budget:)

+ Hands down the best stay I’ve had my 3 month trip. The room was clean and the location in Bukit Lawang is perfect. However, it’s the staff that truly makes this place shine. They made me feel so welcome and safe throughout my stay. Special thanks to the owner Martin, guide Naseb and staff Domique, Voda and Rantau for their amazing hospitality and kindness. I would come back in a heartbeat! ​I also did the jungle trekking with them and I highly recommend it to everyone! It was an amazing, experience with a very enthusiastic guide, Naseb, who really listens to your personal wishes and needs and does everything to make you happy.

+ Pick up by scooter from local bus station. Welcome drink on arrival. Mosquito net on bed. Bed fairly comfortable enough for 1 night. Location is good.

- Lots of noise & music outside room till late at night. Picture on booking showed a western toilet but it was a squat toilet. No toilet paper, no sink, cold water shower, no where to hang towel or clothes in bathroom. Owner extremely pushy to book jungle tour, even before I arrived via WhatsApp and then once I arrived! Very off putting. I only stay the first of my 2 night booking. Felt uncomfortable when I didn't book a tour.

+ Very cheap. Still had private room with own bathroom. Bed had a mosquito net. Centrally located. Owner friendly and helped with organizing jungle trek. After coming back I could use a room to shower, reorganize my stuff. Also setup a transport for me to the airport.

- Reception is often empty. But if you ask, they will come and help you with your question or issue.

+ Die Unterkunft an sich reicht sehr gut für einen Aufenthalt aus wenn Ma in den Jungle geht.

+ Location was really well, we booked the jungle trekking with them which was really good. The owner was really helpfull in arranging everything, picking us op from the bus terminal and explaining about the local transport when we wanted to get back to Medan.

+ マーティンさんは日本語、英語、インドネシア語が流暢に話せて、すべての客の要望に応えてくれて最高のおもてなしのあるホテルと言えるでしょう。 ジャングルツアーのスタッフも皆優しくジャングルを知りつくしてるので、安心してツアーも参加できました。 とても良かった。

+ I had the best time at Ustin Nagoya. Martin was brilliant at organising transport and tours. Everybody was very warm and friendly. My guide for the trekking couldn’t have been more knowledgeable and tailored everything to my interests and needs. I spent many hours following and watching orangutans and enjoying many other animals, trees and plants. Would highly recommend!!
