Flinders Backpackers Melbourne

Fenster nicht dicht und Straße laut. Bezahlt haben wir für ein Zimmer mit Bad, das roch total ekelig nach China Restaurant, weil das Fenster offen war. Daraufhin bekamen wir ein Zimmer ohne Bad und die 4 Dollar die wir jetzt weniger bezahlen mussten nicht rückerstattet. Der Mitarbeiter gab uns auch nur auf nach Druck ein neues Zimmer. Der Vibe des Hostels war irgendwie stressig und nicht so gechillt. Das einzig gute an dem Hostel ist die Lage.

Great Hostel! I have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. I wish they still had their free pancake breakfasts as this was definitely missed this trip.

Good hostel in the CBD. Very central location. Huge (11 floors) plus a large kitchen, lots of space to put food and eat. Social but minimal organized activities. Mostly long term working holiday guests. Showers were okay and washrooms were clean.

Good hostel, well kept and always clean. Decent rooms, big kitchen, pool table and nice rooftop cafe although it isn’t always open. The communal areas aren’t very comfortable though and don’t bank on having on wifi because it’s useless

Would definitely stay here again! Really good location in the CBD and fairly priced. A few of the washers were out of order but otherwise it was great.

Too many people, lifts take forever , no space to cook, no social atmosphere. However security is good and staff are friendly. Not best place to socialise but decent facilities and sleeping arrangements. Good for easy few nights

Good place to stay. Good location in that it's close to the main part of town. It's a little seedy but the hostile has a guard and locks the doors.

Sehr sauberes Hostel, die Zimmer waren echt groß und geräumig und die Betten sehr bequem. Auch perfekte Lage um die Stadt zu erkunden. Das einzige was uns etwas gestört hat, war dass das Hostel nicht sehr sozial war.

Overall good, if you’re a light sleeper I wouldn’t stay! We booked a private room and (even though there’s no volume on the tv) there is constant use of the hand dryers in the shared bathroom that wakes you up. Very loud outside the room from the road too. Other than that, if you’re a deep sleeper it’s great!

This hostel is very busy and overcrowded, probably best suited to young travellers looking to go on pub crawls. There’s one small communal area to accommodate 11 floors, plus a lovely rooftop but it’s part of the cafe so you can’t have your own food and drink up there. Kitchen was often busy - just enough space to cook and store food. The communal rooms and beds were very dusty and it does get loud with trams and people shouting on the street. it's a very big hostel, a lot of people, big kitchen, a lot of space, big common areas, so you can do a lot of friends. Room are big and beds are confortable. Staff very friendly and helpful!

Very clean hostel! Facilities and staff are great. Right in the centre of the busy CBD.

Solid place for backpackers. Bathrooms always really clean. Can’t complain.

Way too busy and overcrowded, but depends what you prefer. Didn’t find it easy to socialise with people as it was so busy. A bit inconvenient that there were no toilets or showers on my floor but the toilets and showers themselves were clean and a decent size. Was just too busy for me wouldn’t stay again

We were really skeptical about flinders just because we have never stayed in a hostel before me and my 2 friends (all girls) were very pleasantly surprised (we stayed in a 10 bed dorm and a 6 bed) the hostel was very clean the bathrooms were perfect we enjoyed it so much we extended our stay by 2 extra nights. The common room was always lively there’s always someone to talk to and everyone was very friendly, the location is good there’s loads to do nearby. Would defo recommend

Hostel is pretty clean, bathrooms are really good depending on which floor you’re on. I think it’s a bit confused on what kind of hostel it is. No socialising, no events but they allow people to check in at any hour of the night in the smaller rooms so it’s not really suitable for long term stay either. Find the female only deal for the smaller rooms pretty sexist as well.

Sehr überbewertetes Hostel. WLAN funktionierte die gesamte Zeit meines Aufenthalts nicht.

Very friendly staff, AC in many rooms, great central location, quite clean, fairly priced, overall pretty good it’s just that the shared spaces are a bit too small because the hostel is simple huge and the wifi is really bad.

Social hostel in a great location. Good facilities with a lot of showers. Great social areas. Very clean.
