One of the best hostels i've stayed in. The Trivia night was awesome and having privacy curtains make me feel very safe.

Un bon potentiel mais pas du tout exploité. Le positif : bonne localisation assez centrale, chambres avec des rideaux et bien équipées, les douches sont bien aménagées ! Le négatif : l’odeur dans l’auberge, le ménage des douches laisse parfois à désirer en fonction de l’heure, les machines à laver inutilisables tellement elles sont sales, l’auberge n’est pas faite pour que les gens se rencontrent, c’est pas chaleureux avec des espaces communs qui laissent à désirer.

I recently stayed at Hostel Europa in Melbourne and had a great experience overall. The place was clean and well maintained, which made it really comfortable to stay in. One thing I especially appreciated was the privacy curtains on the beds, such a simple feature, but it makes a big difference when you are in a shared room. There was also a really good social vibe. I had a great stay at Europa hostel! The bedrooms are really clean, the bed really confy, the kitchen is well equipped which make it easy to make your own food! Would stay again if I'd come back to Melbourne

It’s a good stay great people and a lot of long term people

Hostel is in great location and bunks are very private. However it is clear there is a lot of long term inhabitants, with lots of equipment for e-bikes lying about. It is not a very social hostel, more a place to lay your head. When I arrived after a long day of travel there was things already in my allocated bed. The lady behind the desk just binned them and didn’t offer to change the bedding even though amongst the things left were shoes?

Unfortunately, people smoke and use cannabis on the rooftop terrace, which makes the common areas quite unpleasant for non-smokers. There is also smoking right in front of the entrance, so you have to walk through a cloud of smoke when entering and leaving. On the positive side, the bathrooms were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Es war katastrophal in meinen Augen die Zimmer waren schlecht, die Küche viel zu klein und total verdreckt, man musste Besteck und Teller an der Rezeption „kaufen“. Die Badezimmer waren leider auch nicht so sauber. Habe eigentlich 3 Nächte gebucht gehabt und habe nach der ersten Nacht das Hostel schon wieder verlassen und bin in ein anders gegangen.

Les rideaux et le rooftop sont vraiment un plus, par contre la cuisine en sous sol n'est pas très propre ( surtout la chambre froide), sur l'offre il y avait écrit petit dej gratuit mais en fait il ne le font plus je n'ai pas été prévenu c'est vraiment dommage, cela reste correcte pour le prix et le personnel a été à l'écoute je les remercie pour ça. Beaucoup de français qui reste entre eux pas facile de faire des rencontre quand on est seule.

The number of bathrooms/ toilets, size of the kitchen, and the lounge were not appropriate for the number of people staying at the hostel. The rooftop was nice and the rooms were ok (clean and comfortable). The entire hostel was loud at all hours, would probably choose somewhere else next time but it was okay.

We paid for a private room so can’t really comment on the shared dorms. Rooms was overall as advertised. Within walking distance to most major attractions and transport links in Melbourne. Kitchen facilities were fine and free tea and coffee was a nice touch. Although many people didn’t wash up after themselves. Bathroom facilities were acceptable but no handwash in many of the sinks. Toilet floor also seemed to be wet all the time. Overall fair for the price point

I had a great experience staying at this hostel. The reception staff were really friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is very social, making it easy to meet other travelers and connect with people from all over the world.

Alloggio vecchio e con odore nauseante nella camera. Gli aspiratori al soffitto non funzionavano ma neanche lasciando la finestra aperta tutto il giorno (notte compresa) si riusciva a togliere l’odore che c’era. I bagni erano puliti ma vecchi e piccoli

Not having any means in the bathrooms with which to dry your hands, is diabolical. The shower temperature fluctates sometimes, and they have motion sensor lights which constantly turn off. The bedrooms are decent. However, the kitchen is quite dirty, bins overflowing, tables and surfaces covered in food stains. The pool table in the common room is missing 2 balls and is very old and worn down. Also hard to sleep because the guests are very noisy, and staff do nothing to try keep the volume low.

Perfect balance between social and quiet spaces.

Such a welcoming atmosphere! Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The vibe here is relaxed and friendly. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

People staying in rooms they haven’t paid for, coming in at 6:30am drunk waking the room up, a member of staff was moping the floor at 4:30am we’d just wanted to go to bed as we walked over the mopped floor he said are you serious you’re messing up my floor, couldn’t you wait for it to dry?? Not being funny but I’m going to bed and I’m not waiting for a floor to dry.
