Everything was amazing during my stay! The hostel is great, but what truly made the experience special was Montse. Her attention and kindness are simply unmatched—she goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.And the breakfast she prepares? Absolutely incredible. Beautiful and clean hostel, friendly staff and guests, some discounts in the pub downstairs.

Kitchen and eating area is small but rooms are nice and the hostel is located right next to a tram station which can take you into the city. Meals at the pub below are still pretty pricy but the free breakfast was awesome!

The best thing about this hostel is Mon (staff) who brought sweets from the bakery almost every morning, was extremely lovely and gave us recommendations on what to do in Melbourne.

Stayed here for the F1 GP at Albert Park, the hostel has easy access to the track, city trams and St Kilda bars. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and a bigger than other dorms I’ve stayed in nearby. Nice pub downstairs (Windsor Ale House) has a social atmosphere, food is good quality and well priced. It can get a little rowdy between 10-12pm but things wind down quickly after midnight. They also offer a welcome drink, fresh towel / soap and 25% off pub meals which is more than most hos...

We had mice in our room to which we were told to just make sure we zip up our bags, the rooms smelt awful and were very small I wouldn’t really call this a hostel more like run down rooms above a pub! Do not reccomend

Receptionist was really kind , I accidentally booked a male only dorm and he moved to the female one with 0 issue , he was super friendly as well . Decent kitchen and bathroom , nice place to stay for a few nights

rooms were tiny but it was a nice environment. my roommates were pretty cool as well as the staff. the free breakfast was nice. the location is good, right by the tram but its like 15-20 minutes from the CBD. no a/c which wasnt a huge deal except for the super hot days. i would stay here again. There’s an amazing burger joint down the street called LaLa’s you HAVE to try it. genuinely the best burger i’ve ever had.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, I left my curling iron at hostel and they found it for me and I was able to pick it up the next day. The rooms have a big fan so it’s not hot.

As women we didn’t feel safe in this hostel. The area is very sketchy and locals told us that it is not very safe there. The rooms, the bathrooms and the kitchen were not really clean and with 45 degrees outside and no AC it was very uncomfortable there.

Great place to stay both long term and short stays. Staff are amazing. Good value accomodation. Location is great. Great place to meet new people from all over the world.

Hostel has great potential but has a few issues, kitchen is way too small and becomes mega busy at peak times, to the point it’s not worth trying. Far too many whv means that for us travellers keen on socialising it really isn’t that good. Pub underneath very nice and not far to chapel st for good nightlife past the pubs opening times

Lovely place and lovely people

Ondanks dat er geen airco was, was er wel een hele goede ventilator. De bedden staan niet vast aan de muur waardoor het soms wiebelig is maar de sfeer is erg goed en je kan er in de straat parkeren. Het ligt vlakbij het openbaar vervoer. Het personeel was super vriendelijk en uiterst behulpzaam en het ontbijt was goed geregeld.

I am completely satisfied here. The staff is very, very friendly, and the beds and rooms are comfortable. Overall, there are great people here and everyone is very welcoming. The kitchen can sometimes be a bit dirty and overcrowded, but this is more due to the travelers and not the hostel itself.

Cheap, can be quite noisy

For a student coming to Melbourne for the first time, this is definitely the best place to stay before finding a long-term home. Single rooms are incredibly affordable by Melbourne standards, and they are both comfortable and more than sufficient. The location is amazing: everything is within walking distance, and you can reach the city in just a few minutes by tram. Séjour très décevant. Pas de rangement, aucune isolation, salles de bain sales et cuisine mal entretenue. Nous avons été accusées à tort de faire du bruit, sans pouvoir nous expliquer. Nos affaires ont été mises dans un sac poubelle puis nous avons été expulsées, sans solution pour dormir. Totalement non professionnel. Je ne recommande pas.

there isn't a social area to hangout in or any social evenings run by the hostel. zero staff other than the people who stood behind the bar and might help you. I wouldn't really call this place a hostel it's more of a place where someone has put some rooms upstairs on top of a quiet bar. if the bar was busier or staff were actually around it might be a better place but I wouldn't recommend for solo trip
