Fantastic stay! The hostel has cleaned and comfortable rooms. A big plus is that every bed has its own curtain, which gives you privacy even if you are staying in a shared dorm. The staff is friendly, helpful and available whenever needed. The location is also perfect: very convenient and close to transport (literally 5 min).
We were given a bed with a broken board underneath the mattress, so the bed was horribly sloped and bad for the back. They did move us into abetter room though, but we awoke to the volunteers in the room we were later moved to jumping off the bed and being very loud and making slamming noises - probably what broke the bed in the first place.
Every thing is good sometimes abit nosey with cars. But thats because it's on a main road
Nice stay. Manager and staff extremely nice and helpful. Location 1km to Aldi, 1+ to pier shorter to Woolworths. Noisy as near busy roads. Our private room very nice, bed comfortable. Bathrooms can use some hooks, shelves, and a seat. Kitchen needs more & better silverware & dishware. Bathrooms could use cleaning more often. Shower sometimes floods room. Some mildew smells. However they apparently are renovating and improving so things may be planned to do. Overall, fine place.
Place is good with a great vibe and the staff is really generous and helpful.
Generally nice place. The longterm stays definitely made the room a mess though...
The location is fine, but a half hour walk from st. Kilda pier, restaurants and shops. There was never any staff available, the emergency number never got to anyone and the room was not clean.
Had a Great Time! Always fun and met al lot of Nice People.
One of the best hostels I’ve been too. The atmosphere is super nice and chill and it’s very easy to make new friends. The overall experience was amazing.
Overall best hostel ive been to in Melbourne! its not the cleanest but its definitely the most sociable one! not only the people but also the staff (especially Liam;) ) are very nice here! Kitchen is clean most of the time and plenty of space for everyone :)
Too dirty. Mattresses old and flat. No even glasses in the kitchen. Rooms were too hot, just with an old noisy fun. 3 bathrooms for more than 30 guests in each floor. I paid too much for such a bad experience. If you know it’s gonna be a busy weekend you should get more staff.
The good: Good location with easy access to St Kilda and trams to the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bad: Rooms were basic and cramped People often slept in common areas and there was noise 24/7 Toilets and kitchen were rarely in a clean state
The staff doesn't bother knocking on the door when entering the rooms, which is very annoying and feels unsafe. In 3 days I spent there, I saw the bathroom getting cleaned only once, and it was kept in a horrible state. I also doubt that the sheets get actually cleaned, as when you check out you're only required to put the bed cover to wash. There are crackheads around the area, and some wonder around the hosyel during the night - it can get scary.
So all in all the hostel was alright for the price! But there were a few things which I didn’t like at all. On one night people turned on the music very loud in the middle of the night. And also the kitchen was not always clean.
The kitchen is very small and not really good equipped, missing out on a few plates and bowls, as well as glasses. The rooms have AirCon, but I’m general it is quite cold in the building. The bathrooms are not very clean, I expected way more for the price!
was horrible dirty unsafe run down
S*******!!! Don’t book!!!
It was just okay. Myself and my partner stayed in a private double room which was nice. The communal areas such as a the kitchen and bathrooms on our floor weren’t great. The kitchen was small for the hostel, it had only one cooking hob and one sink, so cooking at peak times was tad overwhelming. Bathrooms were limited and weren’t cleaned enough. Washing facilities - there is only ONE washer and ONE dryer for the whole hostel. NO LIFT so we had to hoist our luggage up to 2nd floor.
This hostel is very strange, loved my time here but had some bad days too. The beds weren't comfy and if you were on a top bunk you risk falling from about 2 metres! Bathrooms are clean upstairs. Not far from st kilda, cheap and the staff are nice but man could have done with more kitchen equipment or space!
It was a lovely stay with lovely people, just no hot water and not the most comfortable
