Great central location (bit of a dodgy side alley), room was clean and tidy. Awesome aircon! Doors slamming/gap under door meant it was a bit noisy at night. Didn't partake in activities/breakfast so can't comment on theses. Was travelling with a friend in a private room so not sure how easy it is to meet people. Lots of shared areas on each floor for working. Kitchen facilities looked really good. Staff was helpful.
I‘m very glad we stayed at Little Drifters Melbourne. It was a nice hostel with a great atmosphere especially in the evenings. The female 4 bed dorms where fine but dirty. We did an early check in and we felt like our bed sheets weren’t freshly changed. Also there was lots of dirt under the beds and in little corners. But we had a great time there and would recommend it!
nice kitchen, lots of gas hobs and utensils, nice comfy beds and curtains on them all which is nice. one of the receptionists wanted nothing to do with helping me when checking in, but eventually got round to helping me. Nice modern rooms and bathrooms. stayed multiple times during my stay in Melbourne and would stay again. Not the most social hostel by any means, lots of long termers and people studying it seems, as opposed to backpackers
Really great hostel very spacious and safe, rooms are really nice, I was in a 8bed mixed dorm. Amazing location but it’s not really a social hostel. Would definitely recommend.
Had a dreadful experience some of the staff are miserable and rude, tells you everything you need to know about this place when they try and bleed you for every cent with lockers, and extras ect, just don’t stay here, the location isn’t even that good, I stayed in flinders is cheaper, better location to everything and the staff are great, don’t seem to hate their lives and bring others down while they’re at it,
Comfy to sleep in (4 bed female dorm) with the curtains and private bathroom, but overall cold and steril atmosphäre, the rooms feel like a garage, the kitchen has no windows (&way too less plated etc for that many people). But really clean!
The room was not as advertised it was very small. Construction work not mentioned until id arrived. Very noisy throughout all hours. 8 people to one bathroom advertised as a premium room is ridiculous. A lot of others also mentioned this to me
Stayed during the Australian Grand Prix, The staff were amazing and so helpful especially with extending my stay due to flights, I stayed in a 4 bed girls room and the fellow girls in my room were honestly so kind and sweet, The bathroom was always nice and clean and there was ample enough space. I did find the website a bit iffy at the beginning but I got used to it, I will definitely look at booking here again next time I have a short trip to Melbourne. The afforable luggage lockers were a lif...
Mostly fine but the en-suite was pretty gross (drains stunk and definitely needed a deep clean), the kitchen never had clean tea towels and the only free luggage storage is leaving it in their restaurant which everyone has access to. Staff didn’t know much, let me buy breakfast and then went in there and it was over even though the website says a different time. Not the most sociable hostel
This was an amazing hostel to stay at! Isabella was so helpful with my booking and giving me recs for the area. I would 100% stay here again!
Facilities good, huge kitchen, lots of washers / dryers, however stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm and it was tiny not much floor space at all. Staying with 3 people who must live there and there stuff was everywhere, weren’t considerate of others in the dorm
The only thing what was not very good, was the WiFi on the rooms. But overall, this was one-off the best hostels I have ever slept in! Good Job!
Bedrooms and kitchen really clean overall however the bathrooms were nothing short of gross. Saw people come in twice to clean and noticed no difference. Same pair of dirty pants behind the door of one of the showers for the 9 days I was there as well as the same stains on the toilet… other than that decent place to stay.
gold except for location could be more central
Great atmosphere, annoying that the kitchen closes at 22 but they do clean it well
I had a pleasant stay, facilities were clean and lots of space. Lots of long term residents though so it felt a bit cliquey. Staff felt a little hostile at times but I’m not sure if I just caught them on a bad day! I got the en-suite room but would recommend booking an alternative if possible so you don’t feel as rushed. Location was good though and easy to get around.
The hostel is nice BUT I went while it was under construction… I got woken up at 8am to loud banging , it says there was a laundry room , there wasn’t , only one lift was working and you could only get to my floor via lift, the vending machines were broke and there were no signs so I couldn’t find my way around at all! The room itself was lovely though and spacious and the en suite was nice! I feel this place will be lovely to stay at once the construction has finished !!!
Place was really well kept, nicely decorated and very social with events every night! Staff were super helpful - Bella on reception was so lovely and chatty and always happy to help! Very happy with our experience :)
We were not informed that there was building work going on in the hostel. Everything at this hostel is a money grab. Also there was no machines to do laundry. Zero storage space in the rooms so everyone’s stuff is everywhere. Only positive is the toilets were clean. A staff member was rude and kind of dismissive to us as well
