Rapport qualité prix ok! La chambre disposée de 4 murs et un lit, tout était propre, sdb partagée propre mais l’ambiance n’est pas très chaleureuse.

Had a nice short stay, location is convenient, near the train station / the airport shuttle drop-off, perfect after a long flight. 4-person dorm is a good size, was able to get some good sleep. Towels are supplied for free on request.

Great location! The shared kitchen was large and had everything we needed to cook a few meals. The street our room was on was extremely loud every night, which I understand comes with staying in the city, but it was almost unbearable. The room itself and shared bathroom were both decent and clean enough. There were strong, unpleasant smells throughout the building, which was hard for me to deal with.

Staff nice and forthcoming and YHA hostel conveniently located but lift did not work and my room was located on the 4th floor, which was inconvenient - having to drag all the heavy suitcases up and down the stairs. Also, the establishment would be wise to invest the extra bucks more in shower scrapers for each room. Why water flushing everywhere when this could have been easily avoided? Also, hairdryers would have been good. Happy to see YHA had lockers - excellent for post checkout storing!

The hostel is close to Southern Cross Station which is not the nicest area in Melbourne. It is clean and has good facilities. The 4-Bed-Dorms are very narrow and smelly as there are no shelves for shoes outside the rooms. They use the hardcore capitalist dynamic pricing system which makes it expensive.

Wasn’t bad but wasn’t enjoyable no airflow in room led to terrible nights sleep

Booked mix room by accident. Asked the front and they arranged female dorm room for me. I really appreciate it. Comfy room, clean bed, quiet atmosphere, and people enjoying their stay and minding their own business. Close to the station so as a person with big luggage it helped me a lot. Will definitely stay again.

Really quiet hostel (not social at all). The dorm that I had was more a prison cell than a cozy and confy dorm. The common areas on the groundfloor were nice and the rooftop is definitively a must for this hostel. I will still recommand this hostel, but just for a short stay.

Really helpful staff and nice private room. Unfortunately YHA’s attract certain types… especially near-homeless older men who often make young travellers feel extremely uncomfortable. The kitchen was very unclean, bathroom’s hit or miss.

Very good stay very good value to stay in heart of the city. Very close to Marvel stadium walking distance watched Lions game. Staff very friendly, would definately stay again. Tom a terrific fella. Cheers & thank you

Pros: - great location - lovely staff - loved the rooftop space - under bed storage in rooms - big communal kitchen Cons: - some bathrooms were very dirty - beds very uncomfortable - no shelving next to beds - no advertising of social activities in the hostel

Good Well Situated Hostel to get to from the Airport with helpful staff. Left Luggage arrangement a little expensive but facilities generally of a high standard and good value for money particularly if you are a HI member.

Good hostel set up, reception staff friendly! but our room wasn’t cleaned bins not taken out or hoovered so quite dirty. Have to pay to store luggage

The locations is nice, it’s right by the metro and other train / bus stations. The security was fine. The thing that got me was the cleanliness, the kitchen was so dirty and had a very bad smell, the fridge had molding food and there were dirty dishes everywhere. The rooms and bathrooms were ok but still not that clean.

It was an alright stay for a few nights, the location is good and it’s close to public transport systems. It felt like there was always something wrong with the bathroom, either the hand dryer was broken, the toilet didn’t flush or it was dirty. The ‘aircon’ in the rooms was a fan so be aware if you are staying during the summer months. The kitchen facilities were good and always clean.

It's not much, but it's a hostel.. Our room was pretty bleak, with windows looking directly onto a brick wall making it very dark and cold. The breakfast was good and staff were nice. Roof top was nice, and the hostel is also in the free tram zone. Quite an independent traveller vibe, with limited opportunities to meet people.

Where to start ? The room were ridiculously small, smelly and dirty. Crumbs all over the floor near my bed. An old sock on the floor… Somehow the room was humid and we couldn’t open the window. The beds were shaky, excessively loud. No plugs near the bed and in the room in general. Nowhere to put our bags in… No lockers. Not even under the bed. There was no common room, no couches to sit down. At least the location of the hostel was really great, everything was nearby! And the staff were ...

If you’re trying to avoid squeaky beds then don’t go here.
