Bunkbread Siliguri

This is the best place to stay in Siliguri , both the property manager Sushant and Tsheten are very cooperative and will always be there for anything you need. The property itself is so spacious that you will love the time you spend here plus the community/people come here were nice too. So i suggest everyone to be at this property because i came here for a day and ended up staying for a week.

I was there for a night and the host had great advice and suggestions, the rooms were comfortable and clean - I felt very safe.

What a brilliant hostel! The lads at the hostel (Sushant and Tsheten) were no doubt the best hostel hosts I've had in India. They kindly organised an amazing Sandakphu/Phalut 4 day trek (including homestay accommodation, guide, fees etc for a great price!) and were in constant communication throughout to ensure smooth runnings. I also had a few hours spare arriving in Siliguri and leaving for Shillong and on my way back through we went out for a quick dinner and catch up before I left. Top lads!

The property is quite old, and lacks proper amenities. It also has a mosquito problem, and linens and washrooms are not clean.

It’s one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in India! The location is good whick is just 5 mins walk from the place I was dropped by the shared Taxi from Mirik. The hostel is quiet and the room is spacious with private washroom and 24hrs-hot water. Just have to remind for the mosquitoes. The manager Sushant is super nice, taking me to lunch with another guest and help me book the rickshaw to the airport. Siliguri might not be fun but with his companion and assistance, I’m glad I came here!

best hostel for a true indian experience, best host ever

Bunkbread is the rare homestay/hostel situation that makes a trip memorable. The host Sushant said this morning “when you’re with me in Siliguri, things should be easy.” It was easy (he literally took me to the office to get my Interline permit for Siikim) but it was also fun. Sushant took me and the other guests street food hopping and to his favorite restaurants. Great time in what may have otherwise been a stopover on the way to Darjeeling.

Sushant is a fantastic host. very helpful with all the wishes you have. Undoubtly, our best hostel experience in India. Amazing hostel culture and good vibes. 10/10 would recommend.

So glad I found this place in Siliguri! I was only staying for the night in order to catch a train the next day, but really had a great experience. The hostel owner Sushant is a such a good guy and an awesome guide for the area. The rooms are spacious, and the hostel is very clean and comfortable. Definitely grateful I ended up staying here.

Highly recommend this incredibly friendly place. The owners are extremely helpful and I was treated like an old friend after only staying there a day.

There isn’t a lot to see in siliguri as far as i can tell. But if you need to stay there overnight due to travel connections or for any other reason at all, i’d thoroughly recommend this place. Its simple, but was everything i needed. The staff are truly a pleasure. I couldn’t speak highly enough of them. Yes. The building has a pretty brutal mosquito problem. But before bed we had a thorough cleansing using an electronic zapper, cat like reflexes and incense. Not a single bite that nig...
