Amazing staff and atmosphere, common areas are good size and offer good variety of games and places to hangout. Bar is reasonably priced. Kitchen is good size and offers everything you need for cooking. Hammocks everywhere is a huge plus also. Shoutout to Gus🐔
My favourite hostel in Brazil so far! Super social, everyone goes to beach together / bars together. Rooms super clean, good kitchen, plenty of chill areas to sit in. Staff & owner are all really helpful, thanks especially Gustavo !

En general esta bien teniendo en cuenta la relación costo / calidad. La ubicación es muy buena y central. No todos los del staff fueron amables, pero en general estuvo bien. Las camas muy incomodas; razón por la cual decidi salir antes de lo planeado, acompañado con un dolor de espalda.
Nothing terrible, but also nothing great. There’s not nearly enough bathrooms and the beds are uncomfortable and shake a lot.

It’s a fairly cosy place but can feel crowded when at full capacity. Fairly social hostel with generally a younger crowd. Only downside was the smell around the area of the hostel. There was a constant smell of drains and the smell of the neighbouring bins were strong. I guess this is out of their control. I also didn’t love most of the bathrooms and the ones upstairs could also be a bit smelly. Would benefit from a upgrade.
Had a great stay! I ended up extending my stay one night at a time for 4 days in a row because I was enjoying it. Big thanks to Rainha Rayane and Gus at reception for being super friendly and helpful. I had a great time working there while watching the Champions League. Highly recommend!
If you are looking to party this one was social and people were going out. Place was not that clean and kitchen wasn’t great either. AirCon made the air feel a little moldy in the rooms. Side note don’t go to the market next door food was rotten. In the description the place mentions renting bikes, motos, arranging trips etc I didn’t see much of that except them contracting with places kinda far away so I felt that was a bit misleading. Great hostel!! The vibe is good easy to meet people. The staff are good. I extended 2 times. The only bad thing the bunk beds are not the best. But not a deal breaker for me.
Amazing hostel! Perfect location, very clean and well organized. The atmosphere is super friendly and relaxed, and the owner is always smiling and welcoming. I felt safe and comfortable all the time. Hammocks everywhere, a nice pool, and great social vibe. People cook together and enjoy BBQ nights. Highly recommended! 🙏

We loved our stay at Gecko’s!! It’s in a great location, the staff are lovely, and there is an unreal BBQ! We would love to stay again.

Entspanntes Hostel mit guter Atmosphäre!
I stayed for 4 nights and had lots of fun. I made friends from Brazil and abroad and the atmosphere was fantastic. This was during Carnaval, so take it into account. The place is safe, clean and the staff was friendly (I even got VIP entries for a beach party). I’ll definitely book again my next time in Floripa.
Great for socialising, loved the pool and staff are super friendly. Good kitchen facilities but could be cleaner. Nice beds with curtains and storage and lockers. Easy to get to the waterfalls. Would highly recommend
