Casa da Madalena Backpackers Hostel

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, the staff was so kind and helpful and we felt instantly welcomed. The Hostel itself has a cozy vibe and you can clearly see that there has been put a lot of thoughts into it. I can 100% recommend it to anyone visitng the Algarve!

Cute hostel in the center of Faro with a beautiful rooftop lounge and a friendly atmosphere. It's quiet and not a party hostel, but that's exactly what I was looking for. Had plenty of good talks with other travelers and felt safe. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a chill hostel to explore Faro.

Overall experience as very positive, There is a really nice family feeling from the first day,The hosts were very nice and made my stay very comfortable!

You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into the hostel, with a lot of details that create an enjoyable stay for the guests. It is super easy to meet other people, for example during the pancake breakfast. I can highly recommend to stay at this place when you are in Faro :)

Awesome stay. Especially the stuff is as lovely as you can be. Could one book for one night because it was fully booked and they even offered me a hammock on the roof top and free breakfast for the other morning. Loved it here!

I loved everything about my stay! I'm actually very sensitive about accommodations, but the wonderful atmosphere made me feel at home straight away. The staff is extremely friendly and are there to help and advise you at all times. All wishes are fulfilled and they try to look after every guest perfectly. The house is simply beautiful and invites you to linger and meet new people. Whenever I am in Faro I will return there. Thank you so much for your wonderful hostel!

The aircon only runs in the rooms during the nighttime. I can see why this would be more eco/economic, but I heard someone come in at 7:50am and turn it off, so if you're not planning to be up early, you don't get aircon throughout your sleep. I also personally really disliked the manned front door during the night time, as I never met him and he just lets you in anyways with no verification you're staying there. But overall people were friendly, it was clean, so it's fine.

Super enjoyable stay, brilliant community feel to the place. Been gone a day and miss it already!

Une des meilleures auberges que j’ai faite jusqu’à maintenant. Les personnes qui y travaillent sont à l’écoute et toujours disponibles pour donner des conseils et aider pour les réservations, excursions etc… le toit terrasse avec les hamacs est super agréable et le petit dej pancakes le matin c’est juste un délice ! Je recommande !!

Superbe séjour dans cette auberge qui est à taille humaine ! Adrien le gérant ainsi que toute l’équipe était aux petits oignons envers les voyageurs ! Je conseille cet endroit si vous êtes une/un voyageur solo, l’endroit est agréable avec ses lieux de vie, et les activités organisées sont propices aux rencontres ! Ah oui et petit truc en plus le roof top est pas mal du tout également ! Si je repasse un jour sur Faro, j’y retournerai sans hésiter :)

Great Hostel to stay in, if you want to be right in the city of Faro and close to the Marina, good restaurants, Bars and attractions in the city. It's not a Party Hostel and the staff is really making sure in a friendly way, that the quiet times during the night are followed! So it's great to relax, but at the same time very social, as you can get to know a lot of solo Travelers during the sunset walk, or at the pancake breakfast!
