Barra Surf Hostel

Super friendly hostel right next to the beach. The volunteers and owners were super lovely and gave us popcorn in the evenings (amazing!). Good chill vibes and they had comfy hammocks. You could probably stay here for a while is very homely. The sushi place next door is insane ! We stayed here on recommendation from some mates - good idea.

The hostel was a great stay, staff were nice, atmosphere great. The only downside to the property was having no AC but other than that it was a great stay! Would recommend.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! Super social and friendly atmosphere. Great common space on the roof and kitchen is fully stocked. Staff and volunteers make it feel like a family. Everyone cooks and does activities together. Couldn’t recommend it more, I hope I come back some day!!

This hostel was a good location but the place was so dirty. The staff here made it a very uncomfortable vibe and everyone was volunteers meaning it was not social at all. There was constantly dirty pans and cups in the kitchen all from the volunteers. Privacy was not respected at all. We were asleep in our room and the volunteers would walk in without asking to use our mirror before their night out. This made us extremely uncomfortable. Overall I would not recommend this hostel at all as it was

The best hostel in Floripa. Staff & owner were so nice, great atmosphere and super social. Only issue is you have to be very quiet after 11.

Amazing location, super close to the beach. The hostel itself seems a bit outdated, the rooms are very small and the beds are not that comfortable. Unfortunately, one nationality seems to dominate among the guests, making it more difficult to be included, but they were still pretty nice. What makes this place great are the volunteers, they are very kind and helpful.

loved this hostel, would recommend as great place to stay in Florianapolis! Bella was the absolute best and really makes the place what it is. a chill but social hostel with great vibes and great staff. will be back for sure!!

Incredible location next to the beach with super friendly people and everything we needed. Easy to find and access and felt very safe. Clean and well equipped communal areas with a great vibe. We booked a 4 person dorm as a 4 person group and had some issues with our room including a blocked sink which was fixed asap, insufficient locker space for 4 people if staying as individuals, and the room was very hot for us as there is only a fan in the room (no AC). Would absolutely stay again:)

I liked this hostel a lot! Really nice upstairs common area and terrace, and friendly owner and volunteers. Would definitely recommend. Only bad thing was that you have to pay for drinkable water, it’s not a lot of money but strange principle

This draws a young social crowd and is a 2 minute walk to the beach. They don’t rent boards or private lessons so it’s more of a beach hostel than surf hostel in my opinion. The beds weren’t very clean and that’s coming from a guy who doesn’t usually care. Stained sheets and disgusting mattresses underneath. Didn’t really bother me but I’m sure it would for some. Overall I would recommend this hostel if you are a young social person looking to stay near the beach

Loved it here, super nice and social hostel with a good vibe. The staff were extremely lovely and helpful, George especially was so kind and made us feel super comfortable :) The one downside would be the industrial fan (the only source of air) in the dorm room which we had no choice but to keep on or it would be musty and hot.

Pontos a melhorar: Sempre sujo e muita areia pelas instalações Banheiros sem uma limpeza frequente Vazo sanitário com problemas frequentes para dar descarga (sem funcionar) Sacos e sacolas com lixo sempre presentes no portão principal (dentro e fora) Manutenção precária (machuquei o dedo no corrimão da escada), havia um prego mal pregado (para fora). very nice and cozy hostel. the common area is very nice and the staff is very gentle and warm vibes. the kitchen is well equipped but not functioning very well and the Room are quite small to fit properly the full capacity. in general I loved my stay there

Hostel très agréable tout autant au niveau de l'établissement, que de l'emplacement, que du personnel. J'ai passé un excellent séjour et reviendrai sans hésiter ;)
