Epavli City Hostel

I’ve been to many hostels all over the world and this is definitely a top for me. It’s not social as others have mentioned but I’m not bothered by this. Beds are comfy and private. Room was very clean and properly cleaned daily. Towels, blankets and locks provided. Free luggage storage. Modern. And loved the huge drawers everyone is given. Makes spreading your stuff out easy but contained.

Perfekt für einen kurzen Aufenthalt: gute Lage, sauber, modern. Es ist in einem Hotel integriert und daher gibt es keine Hostel-Atmosphäre, Gemeinschaftsräume und Küche. Die Rezeption ist von außen nicht sichtbar - einfach hereinspazieren. Handtuch und Decke werden beim Check-in ausgehändigt und müssen bein Check-out unten wieder abgegeben werden. Kleiner Kritikpunkt: die Kissen sind extrem hoch und es gibt nur ein Waschbecken im Gemeinschaftsbereich, außerhalb der Toilette.

Cet établissement n’est pas une réelle auberge de jeunesse, il n’y a pas de cuisine, pas d’air commune, du moins celle ci est partagée avec des clients des logements supérieurs style hôtel. L’emplacement est génial, les gens gentils mais l’ambiance est spéciale par ce manque d’aire commune! J’ai trouvé aussi particulier la salle de bain divisée à même la chambre

Wonderful experience at Epavli Hostel. The staff members are all super nice (special mention to Cristina & Georges!) , the room was clean, beddings were changed every 3 days, and I got amazed to discover a Jacuzzi and sun beds on the rooftop! What a nice surprise to wind down after a long day :) totally recommend it. If I ever come back to Chania I’ll come back for sure 🤍

Hostel canceled my stay that I had booked a month in advance the night before I was supposed to arrive and spent 4 hours on a ferry and 2 hours on a bus to get to so I had to find a much more expensive accommodation with such short notice. I understand mistakes happen but there was no talking to me or explaining the situation. It was in fact an email saying we are cancelling your stay and we will refund you soon. Would’ve been nice to get a call or explanation. Glad I checked my email.

Location is close to super market, old town and beaches. 5-15 minutes. This is a hostel in a hotel so it does feel like a hotel. Rooms are clean and sitting area is for hotel and hostel guests. This is perfect place to come back to after being in the sun or at the beach. Not a traditional hostel so you will have to use the Hostelworld app or be more out going to make some friends. The breakfast was a buffet and is good deal. The staff were lovely and helpful. Towel included (with deposit).

The best bed and pillow I’ve had in any hostel!! Overall a great hostel and great value for money, we enjoyed it a lot. And the breakfast buffet for 12€ is worth it as well! People working there were very helpful and funny, thank you

Amazing hostel ,I’ve been to many hostels but this one is extremly clean and modern,there is storage space beneath the bed that you can lock ,shutters on the bed for maximum privacy and 2 showers and 3 toilets !(also a fridge freezer which is a plus) I met so many people and went out with them which never happens at hostels I’ve been to in my experience.i would love to recommend to anyone looking for a long or short stay in Chania x Bar and cafe downstairs too!!

Sehr moderne Unterkunft. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich habe mich wohl gefühlt dort.

Super modern, clean and comfortable! Mattress and bedding were insanely comfortable, each bed had a drawer for storage and a little curtain for privacy, as well as a powerpoint and light. There was a big fridge in the room which was great, to make this hostel a little more user friendly it could have used a little table in the corner with maybe a kettle or microwave too, but otherwise a good base to explore chania! staff were very kind and helpful :)

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here as a solo traveler! This is a hotel/hostel hybrid so they have 24/7 reception service, no matter how early or late you arrive, and in need of anything, there‘s always friendly staff at the front desk ready to help. They can also help you check and arrange public buses to different beaches. Christina at the front desk is especially considering and helpful. There is no communal kitchen but they do have a restaurant/bar downstairs that you can chill at.
