I loved my stay at Pineapple Park, it was homely, relaxing, super neat, clean and organised and staff were friendly and helpful!
Friendly people, clean place, nice beds, a little humid but theres fans in each room. Has a very welcoming this is everyone’s home kinda vibe. 10/10
These are the plantation owner descendants of the evil pirates in Chief of War! They should pay their staff if they charge a $10 cleaning fee.
Very clean, very quiet. Staff were very hospitable. Location is great. Out of the city, quiet, great outdoor area as you can see the beach.
Sehr sehr ruhig hier.
Great stay. Clean rooms, relaxing outdoors common space with coverage from weather. Proper showers and restrooms. Would absolutely stay again.
This is a nice hostel. I rated "value" low because I booked thru HostelWorld at one rate, was told by site this rate wasn't guaranteed. OK. Now I see I also paid an additional 15% to HostelWorld. Not sure where the error lies (or more importantly, the fix); I've texted Pineapple Park ...
I was over charged, by 20 dollars. at the property. didnt catch til next day. very disappointed.
This place really surprised me. The entire property is very clean and well kept. Both Sally and Annie were so sweet and helpful and I really appreciated their welcome. This place feels like a home, full of the aloha spirit. Highly recommend it.
Fabulous!!! Sally is a rock star❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😎
I loved my stay at Pineapple Park & can’t wait to go back. Annie is a wonderful host.
Really cool hostel in South Kona with a beautiful view. I had a private room, fridge, and bathroom. The location was nice for exploring South Kona, ~45 mins from KOA. Free parking. Quiet. Only negative was the mold in the shower.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Upgraded my accomodations for a more comfortable stay.
Great little place with its own little world behind the front security door. I only experience a mixed dorm ( was by myself) on the bottom floor but there is a lot more to the place than you first see walking in. Great place to stay. Staff was amazing and yea. Would recommend to anyone
The property had shared two bathrooms and restrooms with common wash basin. Smaller rooms usually better only for single person. Extra $22 cleaning fee which was never mentioned in charges for HostelWorld booking. Also late fees are $20 if checked in after 9:30 pm. Beware of extra hidden charges not mentioned during the booking.
Beautiful property and lovely land around but would have love to have been informed before that cockroaches just sort of live there because of the tropics. The owner was lovely and helpful, we just didn't quite feel clean at any point. If you are okay with cockroaches its worth a stay but if youre spooked by them I do not suggest it.
I have lived on Big Island for thirty years, and have passed this place, never thought of staying or recommending it to guest. I decided to take a snorkeling trip to two step and did not want to drive home to HILO. So stayed here. I loved it! and I can't wait to stay again for more than one night. The place is spotless, although a little worn, very Hawaiian style. The kitchen has everything needed to cook and serve a meal. I had a private room. All good
This was by far one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Anna was so gentle to us by the time we arrive and she has such great energy. The hostel is perfectly organized, super clean and the decoration is super neat! I would definitely stay there again if I go back to the big island. People are sleeping on it!
Anna was a great host, the place was very clean, and the decor was awesome 😎 I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to check out the Captain Cook area.
I truly don't understand the positive reviews. The pricing was atrinomical, especially for a hostel. Not to mention when I arrived they then charged me an extra $30 on top what I owed for an 'overnight stay fee'?? I'm sorry what? We had an activity booked and only staying for the one night so we sucked it up and stayed since we didn't have time to find somewhere else to sleep. Check in took forever! Since it's hard to find good help, room was dirty, showers were ice cold & was extremely noisy.
