They upped prices to €46 a night because of Oktoberfest and I had nowhere else to stay. If I’d paid 15-30 I’d have given a better rating. It’s a cool experience though. No plugs by the bed is a pain but it’s a tent so it’s understandable
Highly highly recommend this place espeially for Oktoberfest!! Much more budget-friendly than hotels in Munich but still so accessible. With tram 17 you can be in oktoberfest in less than 25 minutes and truly very easy to access. The staff here are so nice and the place is so pretty. I slept in the bunk beds and it was great, I had fears that I would be cold at night but not at all, they turn on heaters and give you three blankets so i was very warm.
Sooooo good
I stayed here during Oktoberfest and honestly, it was one of the worst hostel experiences I’ve ever had. Freezing cold (3–4°C) tents with no pillow, no power outlets, no privacy, and zero security (anyone can just walk in). You wake up with the sunlight and there’s noise all night and morning from 100 people in one tent. Kitchen always closed, no nightlife (silent by 1 AM), and cash only inside. During Oktoberfest, this place was a total rip-off — absolutely not worth the money!
One of the few affordable places to stay during Oktoberfest, it can be quite cold at times as it is a massive tent.
Ok for value, no pillow and sheets don’t get changed between people so I would suggest bringing a cocoon/sleeping bag liner if that stuff freaks you out
I loved staying by here. I stayed in a large tent with multiple bunk beds. The bed was comfy and the tent was warm. The lockers were big and could fit all my luggage. The bathrooms are right next to the tents and kept very clean. Also loved the fire pit at night. The tram was a 23 minute ride to the Oktoberfest grounds. Compared to other tenting hostels this is by far the best.
the tent is an experience one must have in their lifetime
Loved the stay here. You are getting what you see, but if you’re into that it’s great. The beds are super comfy, surprising quiet at night in the tent. The bonfire every night was awesome way to cap off the night, very social atmosphere. Like 45 min tram from Oktoberfest but I would defs recommend a stay here.
The tent is a great place for all out door lovers! The atmosphere is very open and communal with a bonfire every night of the weather allows. The major down side is it can be quite cold at night even in the tent and with 200 people someone is going to be snoring loudly Overall it’s great for just 15$ a night
Good property, the room is very big but good value for money
Stayed around Oktoberfest time as a solo traveler, nice hammocks to chill out in, common areas pretty social and friendly. Unfortunately beds were uncomfortable but overall good stay!
The first 2 nights were very cold, but on the third night they put the heater on which was awesome. The bathrooms, showers, and kitchen facilities are all very clean much to my surprise and delight. The staff were very kind too! Just make sure to bring earplugs and wear some extra layers to bed!
Very good overall, however the beds weren’t the most comfortable… I would still come back tho! Staff were super nice!
A biy cold but the syaff are amazing and there are so many points of connection. Loved this hostel
La estanicia fue buena . Sin duda volveré .El personal de recepción fue amable y el servicio fue bueno.el personal de la cafetería también fue amable.
It was a fun, vibrant atmosphere. Kind of off the beaten path, which makes it fun. They have a restaurant and bar that is reasonably priced.
super nice and cozy place to stay:)
You get what you pay for here. Its a bed for the night and an experience to look back on. There is a nice social atmosphere, it’s pretty and staff are friendly, but the filthy kitchen and the freezing nights with no chargers in the tents took away from my experience.
One of the most awesome hostel experiences! Even if it was sooo cold in the tent, I really enjoyed being close to nature and the fiendly atmosphere at The Tent! 🌞
