Nothofagus B&B

This was one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. Our room overlooked the Fitz Roy mastiff, so I was able to watch the clouds move around it for hours. We loved having slower moments in the common area with tea as well. The breakfast provided was delicious! We were able to request it early too, so even if we were doing a sunrise hike, we got to start the day with a full stomach. Staff was kind and helpful, even setting us up with a hike we had not heard of nearby with arranged transportatio...

Fantastic, clean, warm, comfortable place. We loved our time there and would definitely return. I only missed not having a kitchen.

This was the most beautiful place I stayed on my trip. I loved the breakfast in the sunny dining room with views of Mt. Fitz Roy. The room and bathroom were clean and cozy. The linens and towels were so incredibly soft. Perfect place to rest after long days of hiking.

Amazing stay! Views of the mountains from the property are spectacular! The yogurt for breakfast was fantastic and powered me up the mountains! Great stay highly recommend when coming to El Chalten!

Great BnB to stay at in el Chalten. We stayed for a week while we hiked in the town. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. Not really a social vibe. No cooking facilities, access to basic stuff would be nice. Cleanliness of bathrooms could be improved later in the day, especially when all the rooms are full. But overall enjoyed our stay.

This place was perfect! A calm, quiet place to rest my head at the end of a day of hiking. Lots of comfy, but rather private, public spaces to chill as well. I had previously stayed somewhere else in town that I didn't love and found way too expensive. Finding this place (better and cheaper!) Was a real delight!

We loved our stay here!

Staff was very nice and gave great suggestions of places to eat and things to do in town. facilities were great as well. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were very clean. Afternoon tea was an added bonus!

Nothofagus was excellent value for money. It was very clean, homely and kept in great condition. The staff, in particular Cecelia were very friendly and helpful. There is no kitchen for guest use but there is a fridge for guests to use. During breakfast we made some sandwiches to take on our hikes. I highly recommend staying here.

Quiet, clean place tucked into a quiet corner of El Chaltén. A very short walk to the main downtown area, the bus station, and the ranger station. Staff was always extremely helpful and kind, and we were able to store our bags in a common area while backpacking.

Our room was spacious and clean. The shared bathrooms were kept very tidy and were cleaned regularly during the day. The breakfast provided was also very nice. Wifi was a bit unreliable, but we didn't mind as we were out trekking most of the time we were there. The staff there were also very helpful and friendly.

This is a lovely B&B, with cosy decoration and clean airy rooms. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The only improvement would be more selection at breakfast, as this was a little more limited than other similar places we stayed. But, overall would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in El Chalten.
