Vik HI Hostel

My stay was great, everything was spotless. I went in winter and it was super warm! The location is great since you’re close to so many sights and trails and the town is close and has great food in it plus a store for you to get groceries. Will try to stay again when I come back!

Bel posto, con cucina condivisa e bagni, abbastanza pulito e ordinato, l'unica pecca è il personale che era completamente assente e l'unica volta che abbiamo visto uno di loro è stato molto di poche parole, ci ha giusto dato le chiavi e un foglio con informazioni su wifi etc. Ma nulla di cui lamentarsi più di tanto.

Really clean nice hostel. I wish I stayed here a few more days.

I booked a night and came in late. The staff got it mixed up and thought I booked the following evening. I ended up having to sleep in my car because they thought the person who had my room was going to come. Spoiler alert, they didn’t. Couldn’t get ahold of anyone. One visit apparently used to work there and found my letter for late check in showing they had me for the following night. So they either overbooked or there was some lack of communication internally

Superb place with friendly staff

Amazing little hostel in nature. loved the dogs, chicken and cosy common area! everything was clean and a well equipped kitchen !:) just way too expensive for a dorm

Perfect location, near many shops and restaurants..and the beach! It was clean, had plenty of towels and the bathrooms were plentiful. Staff and guests very friendly. The fridge had a bit of a weird smell but thats what happens when you have lots of people in one kitchen.

It was a great stay. We had a private room and it was just as we needed. Clean, comfortable and warm. Kitchen is fully equiped and they even left as a letter with discounts to nearby attractions and restaurants. Absolutly worth the money we paid.

Insgesamt viel zu teuer! Negativ: Das Zimmer war winzig (wenn unsere zwei Koffer geöffnet auf dem Boden lagen, war nirgends mehr ein freier Platz), ein Bett stand unter der Dachschräge = Kopf mehrfach gestoßen, fast keine Kleiderhaken, sodass man mit den nassen Sachen nirgends hin konnte. Hostel ist unglaublich hellhörig, gut schlafen war unmöglich. Ungünstig war auch der Mindestaufenthalt von 3 Nächten. Positiv: Self-Check in, sehr gut ausgestattete Gemeinschaftsküche, zentrale Lage.

This hostel had a great location to base out of Vik for as few days. It is owned by a family so it is set up for self check in and they clean during the day but you won’t see anyone at the desk. My only complaint is when they are fully booked it can be hard to get a shower or get in the kitchen. The number of toilets seemed adequate. I showered and ate early to avoid waiting for everyone.

Potenzialmente fantastica, ma lasciata un po’ al caso. La pulizia e gli spazi comuni erano al buon uso degli ospiti. Il personale era presente solo per il pagamento. Obbligano ad indossare le ciabatte, quando in bagno e per le scale si vedevano macchie di sangue e non venivano ripulite. L’esterno totalmente incustodito, l’aspetto selvaggio era più noncuranza che aspetto per l’aspetto naturalistico
