Hostel Dimora

The hostel is in the city center close to all the restaurants and bars, which ist nice. It is really big and I was the only person in the dorms, so was a bit scary for me. I didn't see ay other people there during my stay. There's not many windows and it smells a bit moldy everywhere. I didn't feel comfortable, so I left as soon as possible in the morning.

Staff is friendly and place is relatively clean. The only problem is that there was a very strong odor in the room, I believe it came from some clothes that the staff used. I still enjoyed the visit and facilities. But that smell was quite unforgettable.

Received access code by email. Not a soul to be found for 2 days and finding the place was a bit challenging. No one to help with directions, and Google maps led us into what could only be described as feeling like we were in some catacombs. Buildings were crumbling around us and we went up and down crumbling stairs before finally finding civilization almost an hour after leaving to find food. Locals are friendly and very helpful! Busses nearby will take you to and from the Temples.

No one around as per other reviews. Dark in corridors. But peaceful. Strange atmosphere as there is no one really there to check you in. This was also due to guests but that changes obviously. Common room is a cool place to chill and plenty of light with a vending machine and some books. Cleaning lady was lovely if you speak Italian. She cleans every day so the place is spotless and she even does the beds! Behind hostel is a charismatic strip of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Terrible service not worth booking

“Mi experiencia en este hostel en Agrigento fue bastante decepcionante. Para empezar, no había personal disponible en el lugar, lo cual resultó muy frustrante cuando necesitábamos ayuda o información. La limpieza dejó mucho que desear; las áreas comunes estaban sucias y el baño parecía que no lo habían limpiado en días. Además, la habitación no estaba en buenas condiciones, con sábanas viejas y un ambiente poco acogedor. No recomendaría este lugar, ya que claramente no se preocup...

Je voulais juste rajouter qu'il n'y avait personne pour m'accueillir lorsque je suis arrivé, je n'avais pas reçu de mail de la part d'hôtelworld agrigente pour le code la porte Je suis rester 1h devant la porte avant qu'on vienne m'ouvrir. J'ai trouver cela décevant, c'est 1 chose à améliorer dans l'accueil, sinon locaux très propre et tres calme

2.0 c'est pas mal quand on a même pas pu rentrer dans l'établissement parce qu'ils n'ont jamais répondu et que la porte de l'établissement ne s'est jamais ouverte... par contre j'ai bien été débitée de la nuit.

Er was geen personeel beschikbaar en de instructies voor mijn verblijf kwam in mijn spam terect, in de kamer moest ik zelf een bed kiezen (goor), de lockers en kamerdeur geen mogelijkheid om te sluiten. Ik voelde me er niet veilig en ben uiteindelijk ergens anders gaan slapen. Heel brak.

Muy descuidado y sucio el lugar, no hay privacidad (sin separación entre camas). Las sábanas estaban sucias y con pelos, y aunque se le notificó al responsable, no respondió y me dejó en visto por WhatsApp. Además, nunca hay nadie en recepción (las 24 horas).

un desastre, nadie del staff en ningún momento, ni para el check-in, todo desierto y vacío, parece abandonado, si bien las instalaciones son amplias, parece un hostel fantasma. No hay lockers para dejar las cosas seguras, la puerta de la habitación no tiene llaves. no recomiendo para nada ir. yegua reservado dos noches pero me quedé una sola, me fui a otro lugar seguro para parar

Je ne recommande pas cet établissement, l’espace n’est absolument pas pensé pour le partage entre voyageurs. Aucune insonorisation entre chambres. C’est très sale, il manque des assises aux toilettes, il n’y a personne en cas de problème. Établissement à éviter absolument

I can imagine this place is way better in high season, the space I was pleasantly surprised with, there wasn’t staff there 99% of the time but when he did check me in he was very friendly and helpful but that’s the only time I saw him over my stay. I wouldn’t recommend at this time for young female solo travellers as it can feel quite unsafe, I was lucky to have two other girls with me for my stay but they were the only people in my room for two nights and the door had no lock.

This place has potential: nice common areas, big kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and no bunks. But there are so many problems! The staff is rarely there (some people were waiting a couple of hours yesterday to check in), the showers flood the bathrooms, the power has been out for at least 18 hours (resulting in no hot water!), there is no toilet paper, and still no staff anywhere. Also, the bedrooms have no locks, and the room lockers have no keys, so I didn’t feel safe leaving stuff in the room.

Safe and fairly clean but no one was around to help out, just know you are probably on your own if you book this hostel, there will be no one at reception 99% of the time

La ubicación está muy bien aunque afuera es un poco estrecho para parquear y es difícil encontrar lugar. Tiene una cocina muy grande pero no tan bien equipada, tiene lo básico. Es un buen lugar para dormir y conocer Agrigento y sus alrededores.

Zum Glück nur 2 Nächte.. Wir verbrachten Ende April 2 Nächte in dem privaten "Deluxe" Zimmer für 100€. Deluxe ist definitiv etwas anderes: im Zimmer roch es muffig, das große Fenster mit Holzbretter verdunkelt konnte nicht geöffnet werden und das Zimmer war kalt. Das große Hostel war so hellhörig, dass wir den Nachbarn im Nebenzimmer schnarchen hören konnten. Jede Tür war verzogen, sodass man nur mit Gewalt arbeiten konnte. Unser Doppelbett quietschte schon beim Atmen und war alles ...
