On the one hand the location is absolutely incredible, such a unique experience, but there were many negative points. Firstly the vibe was very mellow, the hostel was so empty only about 6 people there. Most of the time they were completely out of drinking water which is unacceptable when so hot. We also had no power for most of the time. It’s unnecessary for the meals to be so expensive & they charge extra for every activity even renting snorkel masks & kayaks which they have. Staff rude.
Great unique stay! Super fun and amazing volunteers that made our stay. Boat from Cartagena was easy and on time. Food was 10/10. Beers £4 per pint. The only downside about this was that we were 4 men and booked a 4 bed dorm, when we got there we were given a room with 2 almost-double beds which wasn’t ideal. And they didn’t want to sort / apologise / change for us. Just said that’s what it is so it was cosy! Apart from that - quality.
best hostel I've ever been in so much fun and an unbelievable setting
O lugar é tão lindo que não tenho palavras para descrever.. o contato com a natureza é incrível! Mas, o chuveiro funciona exatamente 3 furinhos de água que gotejam seu banho estipulado de 3 minutos.. ou seja: filme de terror. Estragou total a minha experiencia. Não consegui dormir porque estava suja, o banho que uso para relaxar e descansar o corpo simplesmente foi o pior da minha vida. Se não se importar com banho é o melhor local da região!
Just skip it, I think it used to be v fun but now it’s just overhyped & not worth the €70 return boat. The staff/volunteers were incredibly rude and the atmosphere was just weird, they’re blasting club music during the day but then the bar on the Friday night closed at 11.30.. the food was awful, the only good points is the location!
Beautiful location and fun vibes! We had an amazing time staying at Casa en el Agua. Highly recommend the trip!
Really lovely place and great surroundings. Staff were nice but I thought the evenings lacked a bit of organisation. A few group drinking games or a salsa lesson to get everyone mixing after dinner would definitely help set the vibe, but we still all had fun! Food had great portions too.
The place tries to have a good vibe, but it fails, mainly because of the lack of politeness from some of the staff (with the exception of the reception team, who were very kind). They should be more careful when selecting volunteers (one of them had absolutely no education). If you’re looking to rest, this is not the place, there’s loud music all day. The location is truly a paradise, but I think there are less ‘tourist-trap’ options with fairer prices in the region
Perfect !

We had an amazing stay here and loved the extra mile the staff went to to make our time there special. Would highly recommend trying the fresh fish and the bioluminescent plankton tour. However, we saw blood stains on both our bed sheets (indicating bed bugs) so slept in hammocks. Our friend who stayed in the bed has been bitten by bed bugs in a line. Hopefully the hostel can look into this issue because it’s a beautiful place and we still think was really worth going!

One of the most special places I have ever visited.
Epic spot, proper Caribbean vibes
really nice hostel but the atmosphere depends on the day/party theme. During my stay, there was a party organised by German DJs and the music was so bad, you had to take d**gs to enjoy it. Half people did and enjoyed it. Half people were pissed off. But during the day it's a gorgeous hostel and apparently sometimes they also have nice parties.
The group was unreal and we had the best time!! The Place and is unique, clear caribean water & few activities to do and the staff was mostly friendly, especially Vicky & Sophia! They ran out of drinking water several Times and couldn‘t Even Tell us when they will get fresh water again. That was Bad Because you can Dehydrate very quick in the sun since there is Not much Space in the Shade too… besides That I would recommend that Place for 2 Nights Max
I still have nightmares over not receiving a towel! I asked so many times but didn’t receive it. I had to air dry a few times after a shower. But the people I met were amazing group and the location was so unique. The weather was beautiful and the sunsets were magical. The food was average but the activities were fun. My main tip is to make sure to bring a towel and water just in case they run out of both.
We were lucky to have a good group which made it fun but the house itself is pretty average and basically all the facilities were cut off during our stay. They had no towels for 3 days, almost every cocktail on the menu was unavailable, they ran out of water and it took a day to get more, food was hit and miss. Overall the experience is overpriced for what it is and if you ever want anything extra you’ll be asked to pay. The guy that runs it is rude which makes the experience even worse.
