Location isn’t great, also nowhere to leave your rental bike (which you will absolutely need if staying here)
The location is good. Very close to the castle and a couple of bus stops that take you to any place in Kyoto. You can leave your luggage I’m at the front desk before check-in and after check-out but the staff isn’t always there and I don’t know how safe it is to keep it there. The doors are always open except the female dorm (which was where I stayed gladly). Female dorm has own showers and toilets which was very convenient for the ladies who stayed there. There’s a break room for online...
Amazing hostel, very comfortable and clean with nice pod style bunks that provide some privacy. The value for money is great!
i paid for a "premium private room". All i got was a door made of curtains and a 2m gap above it so that everyone in the vacinity could listen to my every breath. Nothing private about this stay and I would not recommend it if you're looking for total privacy.
The facilities are great - the restroom and shower. I like both! It’s weird that on floor two the shower is in the same room as the beds so everyone can hear you shower? Also the beds are nice in the private rooms but there is genuinely no privacy because the top section of every room is open by at least a foot - so all sound travels in these dorms and easier than other dorms I’ve been in. If you rustle in bed there is no way for the whole room not to hear you. I felt guilty packing up early...
This is the worst place I have ever stayed at and I’ve stayed at many places and many hostels in my life. Where do I begin. The room that they put me in is a dorm in the basement. The stuffiness is unbelievable you can barely breathe in there. When I arrived just less than an hour before the 3pm check in time it was raining outside and I had to really use the bathroom. I asked if I could please use the bathroom and was rudely told I can’t use the bathroom until I am checked in. So I got soak...
The place was great, very affordable and really clean, well located. 100% recommended ✌🏼
The common area was disappointing. The rest was pretty much as what you expect from hostels in Japan: clean, friendly helpful staff, nice location for sightseeing.
The dorm WAS AMAZING, they even present u goods for travelling (like toothpaste ecc...). Everyone has their own space and the shower and bathroom SUPER clean. Just two things weren't the best, there's no elevator even for the highest floor and the common room is pretty sad and have no kitchen. But beside that AMAZING
Really nice rooms capsule so felt nice and private. Staff were friendly and helpful! Location was good in terms of can get bus from near here to and from destinations to visit outskirts of Kyoto and temples.
Kinda Weird. There’s a lot of rules and the location is not good. Rooms are nice and everything is really clean!
Cons- 6 flights of stairs to get up to sleeping area (no elevator) -If you’re on a top bunk bed the person in the bed next to you can just sit up and see into your bed. No privacy to hide that which made me very uncomfortable being the only girl in the room. -Not soundproof at all -there’s a gap between the top bed and bottom bed so if you’re on the top bed your things can fall down the crack easily. Pros: Very clean and very friendly staff
Despite the non existent sound proofing I did actually sleep incredibly well here. The showers and toilets are clean and the staff are friendly. Kyoto’s excellent bus system makes up for the fact the hostel is a little far out. There are buses really close that go to the Bamboo Forest and Golden temple. The bus to and from the station is pretty quick and straightforward. My only gripe is that the tumble drier was incapable of drying my clothes so I bagged them up and dried at my next hostel.
Sehr sauber und sicher, aber auch sehr streng. Die dorms sind Videoüberwacht und man konnte nicht gut neue Leute kennenlernen, aber wem das nicht wichtig ist sehr gutes Hostel
Great hostel, clean & safe. 30min from Kyoto station by bus. Would recommend !
One of the cleanest hostel I have stayed in Japan. 1. Beds were comfy and bed sheets were clean. 2. The building has 4 floors but unfortunately there was no elevator. Makes it hard to carry your luggage. 3. Bathrooms were super clean. 4. One needs to remove their shoes and wear hostels flip flops while going upstairs. Management needs to atleast keep small chair or table for people to wear their shoes while going out. I am sure they can do that. 5. India restaurant called New Delhi 5 min aw...
Ist gut leider waren die türen zu laut und die nacht ruhe wurde beim gewissen sehr laut. Aber ansonsten gut
Amazing hostel, great location. Social aspect of the hostel isn’t the best but bed is comfy, staff are extremely friendly. No storage space which I didn’t really like but overall highly recommend.
