Amango Hostel

We arrived and the lady clearly did not have our booking so we had to wait while they sorted the problem. Whilst we were waiting she started shouting at other guests in the communal area to shut up because they were having a conversation. I didn’t receive my key for an hour after check in and my room stank of dead fish. We also woke up to some guys fixing the AC at 9am. Very random place and the lady in charge did not seem very welcoming. Good location and the beds were comfy.

It’s ok for the price and clean, but rooms with dorms were very small — no space to put the bags in besides the locker under the bed that was inconvenient. The showers also were not aired properly so it was humid and hot, nowhere to hang personal stuff. Not a social hostel.

On checking in I was told that there had been a mistake and that there was not a bed for me. They offered to let me stay at another of their hostels however this was 20 minutes outside of the city. I had to find another hostel at last minute which was a bit stressful. The staff didn’t seem to bothered about this and were taking calls while I was trying to get my deposit back. It was a nice Hostel with comfortable beds, quite clean and a very good location. Unfortunately there is no good common area.

Nice hostel. It only has 2 dorms I believe so not a lot of people around and pretty cozy/intimate. The pod style beds are also super comfortable. They also give you a bag with toiletries which I think was really nice. I would definitely recommend it
