The manager was super lovely. Was around a lot and had some good chats. Security of the building was good, code to the door and code to the bedroom. The bedroom was left open during the day which wasn’t the best as there were no personal lockers. Would be worth adding curtains to the beds for privacy. Women’s bathroom newly renovated and clean!
Ok but stayed in better
Crowded, long term customers get all the good beds. The place has been under refurbishment process for a long time. Place looks like you're sleeping in a construction site. No place to place your valuables, really crammed too. In the showers, you need to place everything on the floor because there's no table or hangers. Showers are built by non professionals, water drainage is not working leaving a puddle for the next customer. Advice - go to Airbnb for similar prices but quality service
One of the worst hostel I have been in
Stayed for a night only as was at a gig and was really handy and central
It’s under renovation and the toilets are up stairs. It’s dangerous to be own at the same time as a renovations. I wouldn’t come here again.
The hostel has a great central location and strong security with coded locks for the building and rooms. Staff were very friendly, though constant conversations from reception felt a bit much. Renovations were unfinished despite full price, with uncarpeted floors, no in-shower shelf or place to put non-hangable clothes. Rooms, bedding, and bathrooms were clean and functional. Wi-Fi worked, but the stove didn’t work well and the fridge door handle was broken. Fridge space provided.
Was a really nice place, there was a little table with a mirror and chair in the room. From the hostel you could get everywhere in the town by foot (well its also a small town, but still nice surroundings). The owner was nice and always there to help, the kitchen did not have a stove though iirc. The bathrooms were half under construction, but there were multiple available to use, the showers were kinda bad though, but maybe after the construction itll be fixed. I very recommend it :)
Awful place. Unpleasant vibes. Dormroom crammed with beds. Felt like a homeless shelter. Place is still under construction. Nowhere to lock up valuables. Had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. The worst hostel I've ever experienced. Avoid.
The street address I was sent just said King St. I spent 15mins in the rain trying to find it. It's no.5a, opposite the Metropole Hotel. It is opposite where it's marked on Google maps. Showers, toilets and sinks are very cramped. Kitchen/dining area is small but functional. The building/decoration work is on-going. As there is no competition in or around Leeds, they can and do charge more than it's worth. The staff were great, especially the woman from Ghana. Card machine didn't work-bring ca...
Although the hostel was being renovated, everything was clean — both the corridors and the room. The room itself was spotless. But : We really didn’t like the jokes made by the owner (they were inappropriate) and some of the staff members. We were constantly being corrected about everything, even when we had permission to do certain things, which made us feel like we were doing everything wrong. We also felt watched all the time, even while having breakfast in the kitchen.
