Bak A Yaad Hostel and Cottages

i loved my staying in bak a yad, the place is awesome and staff is lovely. right across rick’s cafe which i found to be not soo good because ricks close early at night and during the day you have to drive to the beach, otherwise the place is a 10/10

I recommend the chalets for a relaxing space to hang out, cook, chill on the porch or lie by the pool. A great green oasis. Easy to access the beaches by Uber. Right opposite Rick’s for entertainment or jumping into the sea. Try Sips and Bites, Just Natural, or My father’s place for fantastic, affordable Jamaican food. A great stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the cottage and it was really nice. The pool was refreshing on a hot sunny day. You have a supermarket that is walking distance and some food options.

Very relaxing property with lots of greenery. The staff really go the extra mile to enhance your experience in Negrill. The location is on the West end which is close to sone very scenic restaurants on the cliffs, the 7 mile beach is a cab ride away (or a very kong walk)

The location is excellent since it's across from a popular day and night spot. The property was good in that it's Ike a hidden secret garden, though not as pristine, and plentiful with vicious gangs of mosquitos. The mixed dorm room was good, though no AC, only a small fan, and the bathroom within could do with more privacy. The lockers were great and could fit my very small backpack, and sling bag. The kitchen was cool, though the common area wasn't that clean generally. Still worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bak A Yaad! The grounds are beautiful and relaxing, the cottages are cozy and clean, and the staff are kind and friendly. If you’re looking for a simple, and welcoming stay, I’d definitely recommend. They provided all the basics; I got a room upgrade from a separate room to a cottage for a discounted rate, it was definitely worth it. Only stayed for one night, but after leaving, I know I would be back, and bring friends and family.

Der Platz an sich wäre super aber leider ist die Anlage ein wenig heruntergewirtschaftet und die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig.

Felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Loved the swimming pool and the WiFi is excellent. Elaine and Allecia were fantastic staff

Sehr schönes großes Hostel mit Pool direkt bei Ricks Café. Alles sehr sauber und sehr liebe Leute! Etwas weiter weg vom Strand aber mit Taxi kein Problem.

Loved staying here. Of all the hostels I enjoyed staying here the most in Negril. The location was close to Rick’s where u went for a quick swim. I enjoyed eating pizza close by at Ltu. Staff and acccomdations were wonderful with the outdoor kitchen,pool and clubhouse. Stay here when in Negril

This place is amazing! Its such a beautiful setting, has everything you could possibly need and Elaine and Jordan are both lovely. Felt safe, it was clean, good wifi, great chill spaces (pool, netflix, games etc). Its great for being next to Ricks cafe and lots of restaurants and little shops nearby. Its far from the beach but thats clear on booking. Would definitely stay again and recommend, but bring good mosquito repellant!

We stayed for a few nights in a private room. We felt it was slightly misleading as rooms with shared bathrooms were in a block at the back of the site - not the bungalows. The garden, pool and common spaces were really nice and relaxing. However the shared kitchen and bathrooms were dirty. We didn’t love Negril but the hostel was a little far out of town and the free shuttle wasn’t running when we stayed. Staff were kind and really hardworking but the place felt understaffed. My son and I booked a private room. It was sooo small and the was too small for 2 people. Rick’s bar was not for us … and coming from the 7 mile beach this place seemed quite remote.

Wir hatten grosse Erwartungen ans Back A Yaad Hostel, es sah wunderschön und gesellig aus. Schlussendlich war es das Gegenteil: Sehr schmutzig, niemand war in der common area, aus dem Kühlschrank flogen Fliegen, Geschirr stand schmutzig und stinkend herum, unser Doopelzimmer war winzig klein, der Ventilator ging nicht und die Sonne schien mir schon Frühmorgens ins Gesicht, wir konnten vor Hitze und keiner Luft nicht schlafen. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls schmutzig, auch der Bettbezug im Zimme...

Very good location u have everything around u need. it was just a little bit far from the beach.
