La Casona de Vegueta

Don’t go there. The owner is not in his good mind. I was told to leave after I asked for a lamp and help to close the door to the dorm. I was told he practiced an open door environment and if I didn’t like that, I’d better go to the street. Only one volunteer left in this hostel. They overbooked, so when I showed up, they didn’t have a place for me to stay. They let me hang while I found another place, and were kind, offering me food and drinks. The building was cool, and the garden and terrace are lovely. The stairs inside are steep and small.
