Lime Ahangama

Loved my stay in LIME. The best staff (Thank you Podi & Sanju), clean rooms and a big garden with a pool. Very relaxing atmosphere with chill space and easy to make friends. It's away from the busy mainstream - so perfect for hanging out after a busy day. There is a bus stop right in front of the hostel so you can easily move around. WiFi worked perfectly, everything was clean, there is a kitchen for common use with fridge + drinking water provided. Thank you guys!!!

Absolutely great, there was not that much going on but the people were soooo nice and social, exactly how I imagined a hostel! Very very nice and I liked the common area space, the pool was not as nice as it looked on the pictures tbh but apart from that its very very nice. But it would’ve been nice to have a scooter cause it is kinda out of the way.. ahh big plus is the adorable kottu (crazy cute puppy)😍

An absolutely amazing place in a beautiful location, surrounded by jungle and open fields, yet still very close to Ahangama. The atmosphere the team creates is truly special — relaxed, friendly, and full of good vibes. I’m really grateful for the time we shared together, it made my stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely be coming back next time. And Elizabeth Chicken Kottu… love ❤️

I really loved my stay at Lime 🍋‍🟩😍 Perfectly tucked away outside of the main town, but super easy to find and accessible. The pool is stunning and big enough to get a proper swim in which is really hard to find. I slept in both a private room and a dorm and was really happy with both, Especially the private room! 😌 All the Staff are really lovely and super helpful! I don't normally write reviews, but this place was special. The room was super chill and had an immediate family vibe. It's the kind of hostel where you actually stay and hang out instead of constantly being on the move.The crew (Channuka, Sanju, Podi, and volunteer Laura) are all absolute sweethearts and create a lovely vibe. Met great people, while liming and during cozy family dinner. A genuinely relaxed, welcoming spot.

Volunteer was really rude, which made the atmosphere bad. Location was really nice, which makes the atmosphere experience okay. One of the people working came to stay in the same room and had YouTube on, on the highest volume from around 2am till after 5:30 am when I woke up from it the last time. Overall experience was not good unfortunately.

The best hostel in Sri Lanka, if you’re looking for laidback vibes away from the busy city then this is it, they also can sort out tuktuk and bike rental super quick & the “liming” areas as well the pool are just too good - thanks guys❤️🫂🇱🇰

Best hostel experience in all my travels. Away from the bustle of town but close enough to zip in and out. Felt like staying at a friends house, lovely garden and pool and staff are super welcoming and helpful.

overall, not bad. there was no 1 major thing that made this a frustrating exp, but a lot of little ones. Their preferred taxi partner was a major scammer (he would delete the quoted prices in ‎WhatsApp during the ride so you couldn’t reference it), their laundry is ridiculously expensive, they made my friend in a PVT room pay for another occupant (its a 2per room), they started making their beds before I checked out and was still packing, which was uncomfortable and in my way, etc.— overal...

I enjoyed my stay at Lime Ahangama. It was just what I needed relaxing 😎 And some socialising. I met people here and enjoyed the family meal then the Karaoke at crust. The beds were super comfortable! I used the pool whilst I was there which was great addition. Staff were friendly. The only thing I would say is the bathroom. The sink linked when you had the tap on To wash your hands it would leak out the bottom. This made the bathroom pretty slippery! Make sure you have flip flops.

I spent a week at Lime and Lime is this kjnd of place where you don’t want to leave and just keep extending. The staff, volunteers and owners make you feel so welcome and they create a nice social atmosphere in a way that it doesn’t feel forced but just very open. The hostel is full of music, pool games, good vibes and nice activities. I would definitely recomend to come and enjoy Liming. I hope I can come back one day!

I really loved staying here! It’s a beautiful place with a lovely garden and swimming pool. The people were fantastic, and I would 100% recommend it!

Honestly, this is one of the few places where I immediately felt at home... no forced togetherness, just enjoying each other's company... every single person, whether it's the guests, the staff, or Kottuuuuu, the cutest dog in the world, contributes to this feeling. I love this hostel! It’s more of a home from home. All the staff are so lovely. Kate and Pontus the volunteers did a great job with social events and making sure everyone is happy. Sanju and Podi never fail to put a smile on your face and Chanuka will bless your ears with beautiful music. There are many areas to chill which is great. Everywhere is clean, comfy and well maintained. The vibes are immaculate. The pool and instruments are a massive bonus. Nothing not to like I miss it already.

It was honestly one of the best places/hostels I’ve been so far, the location and the people who work there make your stay super comfy and chill. Would definitely go back:11/10 ♥️🤌🏼

I had the best time at Lime. It feels like coming home to a family. There is people playing music and going surfing together. The staff is super kind and happy to help at any request. At the same time it doesn’t feel too busy or stressful. The hostel feels clean and spacious and the pool is nice on a hot day. I like that the room had an adjacent bathroom as well. Would highly recommend staying there if you want a chill atmosphere and a cosy stay!

British volunteer was super nice, place could be slightly cleaner, it’s also a bit far from the town centre/beach etc., no breakfast available
