Summer House Magnetic Island

Honestly the best hostel on Magnetic Island!! Very nice location right by the beach, super clean kitchen and bathrooms, very nice rooms and absolutely lovely Staff. Felt like home!! Very sad to leave this place, will definitely come back.

Awesome hostel! Not very big but still social. Everything was very clean and felt brand new. Couldn’t ask for a better stay.

The best hostel on the whole east coast! I stayed here twice because I came back after the first time being so amazing! They upgraded me both times because the staff all used to backpack themselves so they want the most pleasant stay for everyone. The whole place looks and feels more like an amazing hotel, everything is very nice and new. I loved having all the free gear like Kayaks or Wallaby food, also the events were very nice, especially the stunning cheeseboard of Alice!

We had a brilliant stay at Summer House! It’s a small hostel with a friendly, communal feel which we loved. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We were also upgraded to a private room for free which was such a nice gesture. Would definitely recommend :)

The cleanest and most relaxing hostel I've stayed in in Australia. The location is great and the staff are all absolutely lovely. There offer free use of their kayaks and snorkelling gear as well! I 100% would stay here again.

The Summerhouse really is THE best hostel I've stayed in so far! It gives luxurious beach vibes and the staff (especially Ganeisha and Alice) are lovely, we had quite a few chats on what to do, where to go, life in general, etc. I hope I'll be back soon, can only recommend to anyone coming to Magnetic Island. Lots of love ♡

it was perfect and felt more like an Hotel than an hostel. It was alle clean and the romms been really big.

One of the nicest hostels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were lovely, the facilities were modern and clean, they had daily events on which was lovely. It’s in such a good location - you can walk to the supermarket and also very close to the rock wallabies and the toad racing, Ali has two bus stops very close. Such good value for money and would definitely recommend staying here!!

Great hostel! Everything was very clean, beautifully and thoughtfully designed, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The kitchen is very well equipped and the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The location is also perfect for exploring the area. 😊

We had an amazing stay here. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. The facilities were rlly good and clean. They also upgraded us to a private room for free. Would definitely go back!

Das Summer House auf Magnetic Island ist super schön! Das schönste Hostel, das ich bisher an der Ostküste hatte. Die Mitarbeiter sind auch richtig lieb und haben mir tolle Tipps für die Insel gegeben. Ich habe sogar ein Upgrade in ein Einzelzimmer bekommen und war dafür nach einem sehr langen Reisetag sehr dankbar. Die Unterkunft kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Nur eine Mini Sache: es wäre super hilfreich, wenn in der Küche neben den Basics noch Öl bereitgestellt wird.

Best hostel I stayed in Australia so far! Super clean, staff is great, helpful and friendly, location is great right by the bus stop, 100% recommend! Very chill atmosphere, not a party hostel which was great for me to get some rest and enjoy the island!

I had a really good time at the Hostel, the beds are very comfy, bathrooms are nice & everyone was very welcoming :))

The best hostel we stayed at our entire time in Australia. May be slightly biased because we received a complimentary room upgrade but even so, rooms and facilities were clean (helped by only being a few weeks old), staff were friendly & hospitable & the location was great to easily explore the entire island. Quite expensive but you get what you pay for. Its relatively small size meant it never felt overwhelming or busy too. Best hostel on the island, hands down!

Amazing hostel! Myself and two friends had a great stay at Summer House Magnetic Island. The facilities were beautiful, spacious rooms and great social areas, and it was all super clean. The staff went above and beyond - providing us with free pool towels and pancakes for breakfast :) and we loved the postcard making! Ganeisha also gave us some great recommendations of what to do on the island. I would highly recommend :)

Summer house was a great place to stay! Highly recommend it. It’s super clean and aesthetically pleasing 😌. The do fun activities everyday to get everyone socialising and it was very fun. Staff are amazing and check in on you throughout your stay to make sure your happy and there’s no concerns. Overall a great place to stay on the island. Its location is right where the wallabies are and you can get to all places around the island on a moped. So thankful for the free upgrade to a private ...
