Sacred Trails Kathmandu Homestay

+ This is a perfect Homestay. It has the warm feeling you get from living local yet the privacy and comfort of a boutique hotel. The room and building are super clean, showers with hot water delicious breakfast and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept during my month in Nepal! The owners are very friendly, accommodating, and always around if help is needed. The area is close to many temples, feels very safe, great nature hikes nearby, and really good local places to eat. I liked this place so much that I will return for the remainder of my time in Nepal. I am so glad I stayed here and highly recommend this place.

+ Понравилось абсолютно всё. Прекрасный дом и атмосфера в нём. Замечательные и приветливые владельцы дома. Очень всё по-домашнему, а не как в отеле. Вкусные домашние завтраки, приготовленные сразу же при вас. Угощали нас и своим урожаем. Просторный и хороший номер с чайником и посудой, большие веранды, балкон, уютные общие помещения на этаже, где можно взять на полке книгу и почитать. Всё чисто, аккуратно и приятно. Горячий душ всегда был. Интернет хороший. Красивый вид из балкона. С любым вопросом по быту и организации отдыха можно было обратиться к хозяину. За всё им очень благодарны! Рекомендуем приехать и остановиться в этом прекрасном доме.

+ Tolle Gastgeber, immer bereit zu helfen. Wenn du eine ruhige Ort bei Kathmandu suchst, perfekt. Direkt neben unterschiedliche Wanderwege, wunderschöne Blick an Kathmandu-Tal, selbst vorbereitetes leckeres Frühstück. Er hat immer auch die Kinder Wünsche erfüllt. Ich kann nur empfehlen. Die Wohnung ist sauber und hat alles, was braucht man. Auch wenn etwas fehlt, Gastgeber hilft weiter.

+ I chose this home stay/hotel because it is a 10 minute walk from the Shivapuri National Park and also because the hilly road through the park would offer a bit of exercise before a trek. I am interested in nature, especially birds, and the birding along the national park road was incredible! The road is popular with Nepalis going out for a morning walk but that did not affect the birding and the walkers were very nice. I've added photos of the animals I saw walking about 2 km into the park from Sacred Trails. The home stay is hosted by the Giri family, who were very nice and helpful. The food was good and the rooms were very clean. There is a commercial road with markets and restaurants about a 12 minute walk from the hotel. The air is also cleaner in the neighborhood as it is a little higher than Kathmandu City and the worst pollution.

+ Sacred Trails Homestay ligger på en bakke og har smuk udsigt over Budhanilkantha. Det er et godt sted at slappe af og nyde naturen. Vores værelse havde balkon, et skab med lås og der var elkedel og te/kaffe. Badeværelset har varmt vand. På vores etage var der 3 værelser og et fællesrum med sofa og rejsebøger. Fra taget kunne vi om morgenen se de imponerende rovfugle flyve over os. Til morgenmad valgte vi æg, kartofler toast, frugt og kaffe. Hvis vi ønskede, kunne vi vælge andet. Hari og hans familie bor også i huset og opholder sig i fælllesrummet sammen med gæsterne. De er gode værter og serverer også aftensmad, hvis man ønsker. Hari har efter mange år i turistbranchen mange ideer til din Nepalrejse og kan være behjælpelig med transport, reservationer etc. Hari arrangerede vores transport fra lufthavnen. Vores fly var forsinket og vi satte stor pris på, at han ventede og fulgte med i taxien. Fra Sacred Trails Homestay kan man besøge forskellige templer i området. Man kan gå op til Jamchen Vijaya Stupa og nyde den flotte udsigt over dalen. Vi nød også gåtur gennem skoven længere oppe, hvor vi drak kaffe og så endnu en imponerende udsigt.

The family-run hospitality was warm and welcoming, with a delicious breakfast, clean rooms, free fast WIFI, fresh linen, and the best hot shower! Loved the hiking spots nearby and the laundry service was a plus. Highly recommend for nature lovers and travelers seeking comfort!

+ Sacred Trails homestay is a strongly suggested homestay in Budhanilkantha, located on a hill is just 10 minutes taxi from everywhere, the staff is the kindest ever, the owner Mr Giri is ALWAYS helpful and provide all your needs. Tidy, clean and big rooms. Great breakfast included in the price. Everything is absolutely perfect and also great price. 10/10

+ The location was great, at the northern edge of Kathmandu and a 10 minute walk to the Shivapuri National Park with trees and great birds. The hosts, Alexander and Laxmi were very nice and welcoming, and the food was tasty. I had a room on the third floor and could watch the daily lives of the neighborhood people.

+ This homestay is the absolute best! Superclean, fresh,new, modern, comfortable, very stylish, feels like first class, everything was beyond expectation! There is a wonderful shared lodge on each floor.A stunning view from the balcony. It's beautiful location. All feels totally safe and carefree. Amazing service from the owners.Very friendly and accomodating. I strongly recommend it to both solo travelers and friends traveling together. If you have found Sacred Trails Homestay, you don't need to look any further. A big thank you to the lovely couple running this place.

Nabin, the host, is incredibly kind and attentive, making the stay unforgettable. Highly recommend for comfort, great food, and top-notch hospitality!

+ This place has it all—stunning views, a convenient location, and affordable room prices. I had a great sleep, enjoyed one of the best showers in Kathmandu, and loved the fast internet. The property is also the best hangout spot to relax and enjoy a Gorkha beer. Hari’s Nepali Thali was a highlight—absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely come again and recommend it to my friends.

It’s perfectly quiet for a great night’s sleep, with fresh air and breathtaking city views. The location is super convenient, close to everything you need. Indeed the best accommodation in Kathmandu—highly recommend!

- ik kwam eigenlijk voor Shivapuri NP, maar dat was mysterieus niet echt bereikbaar. Misschien beter vanaf Kathmandu te regelen. Het lag ook aan mij, ik durfde er alleen niet in te wandelen.

+ De rust, natuur en omgeving. Peacefully place. The nature. Quite. De Isckon Temple om de hoek. Je kan daar lekker en goedkoop veganistisch eten. De Budhanilkanta tempel op loopafstand. Een dakterras waar je heerlijk van de zon en de omgeving kan genieten. Giri is Een fijne gastheer.

- A wonderfull stay. Everything was ok. What I only missed and needed was a heather. But that is a personal thing. Voor de rest was het perfect.
