Trebol House Hostel

We had an amazing stay at this accommodation. The hosts were very nice. It’s a couple from Ireland and Honduras, who opened the hostel just this year, which is why it still has few reviews. They have a pool, which I’m sure is nice, but we couldn’t enjoy as we arrived late, waiting for the ferry to Utila the next day. Loved this stay, no complaints! The loveliest host couple, super friendly and helpful - thank you for inviting me to the river! Everywhere was super clean, new rooms, great AC, nice bathrooms, one of the best kitchens I’ve been in for a long time, nice pool. The included towels and free morning lift to the ferry were cherries on top.

Great place to stay in La Ceiba! Sarah and Jorge are both lovely, and the hostel is modern and very clean. I think it had the best hostel kitchen we’ve seen so far! There’s a big supermarket and a few restaurants a few minutes walk away. The free lift to the ferry was great. Thanks both!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable, which made it easy to relax. I also appreciated the small details like having a towel provided and plenty of space to store luggage. What truly made the experience special, though, were the owners. They are incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful people, always ready with a smile or a laugh. I had such a great time interacting with them, and they created a really welcoming atmosphere.

I stayed at Trebol House for 1 night on my way from San Pedro Sula airport to the ferry terminal in La Ceiba, final destination Utila. The vibe was relaxed and the room was clean and comfortable, so I had a good night's sleep. Sarah and Jorge were very welcoming hosts and I had a nice chat with them upon my arrival.

One of my favourite hostels in all of Central America, Sarah and Jorge are amazing hosts and went above and beyond with everything, from booking taxis to local recommendations. The hostel is kept so clean and actually has a proper kitchen with everything you need to cook. The hostel is also only a 5 minute walk away from some major food chains and a supermarket. I planned to stay one night when passing through La Ceiba but ended up staying 4 nights. Cant recommend enough!

Wat een fijne plek! Een van de duurste plekken waar ik verbleef op mijn lange reis maar het was het zo waard!! De eigenaars zijn zoo vriendelijk en super behulpzaam. De keuken is veruit de beste keuken die ik al gehad heb (een airfryer!!). Allen daarheen.

Wonderful experience- great owners who obviously stayed in hostels & know how to set up a top tier stay. I loved the pool & outside area. The living room was so comfortable. The kitchen & dining room are great also. The dorm was very nice with a big clean shower & bathroom. I loved the curtains, electrical outlet & bedside light. Perfect for privacy. It’s close to walk to get food but they will order delivery for you. They ordered a taxi to take me to the bus. I will definitely come stay again...

Wonderful new hostel with brilliant facilities, especially in the kitchen, a nice pool to cool off in the heat and great owners. Although a little way from the main town, there is a local supermarket and many food places a few minutes walk away and the owners provide a free lift to the ferry port for boats to the islands.

Great place to stay, the plaxe was lovely but the highlight were the owners Sarah & Jorge. Both were so friendly and helpful and made our stay great. Would absolutely recommend!

I loved Trébol house so much I stayed twice! It's a perfect stop if you're heading to the bay islands, Sarah and Jorge are the best hosts and will give you lots of recommendations for food/activities in the area and on the islands. The dorms are very clean and cozy and the courtyard is perfect to spend the day relaxing by the pool. The kitchen is well equipped and so clean and the indoor common areas are great too. Having a shuttle included to and from the ferry is also a great deal!

Amazing, super clean hostel with a free shuttle to and from the Utila ferry. Curtains at the beds give great privacy, plus a nice pool area and a well-equipped kitchen. The owner is the cutest and helps with everything they can (even ordering food!). 100% recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay here! The hostel was very clean, comfortable and safe. The owners were really lovely and went above and beyond- helping us with ordering food and driving us to the ferry terminal!

Awesome spot to stay, to then get to the islands.. owners will drop you off and pick you up which is amazing. Nice and chill. Good vibes
