Worst insanitary hostel ever stayed in. OMG the refrigerator stench from ancient food biology experiments left to grow green fuzz. Worst if possible is men’s bathroom where a shower stall floods the 2 toilets. Avoid!
Cheap place but cleanliness should not come at a price. No way of telling when the kitchen gets cleaned. Every surface was always sticky and covered with flies. Toilets and showers were tight and unlit. Room was ok but just 1 powerpoint to be shared among 4 people isn’t enough. Staff was friendly at check in but nowhere to be found after. Safe town so no lock needed on building/room, but no lockers for valuables. WiFi was inconsistent. Only good thing is that it Is right next to the trailhead.
The shower and the toilets were dirty
Kitchen and bathroom was grubby, and the shower and toilets were also very dark and made me feel borderline claustraphobic when I used them. The rooms have inadequate powerpoints for the number of people and in annoying locations. No facilities to store bags, its just a throw it under your bed or on the floor situation. Staff were never at reception to help with small things
Not great, only booked here last minute for one night. Terrible shower with no pressure, WiFi dips in and out constantly, and I suspect the bed sheets weren’t fresh as my dormmate said he saw one lady spray perfume on my bed before I arrived! Pretty dirty as well
The hostel is okay, nothing special and is quite expensive for what you get - but everywhere in El Chalten was even more expensive so if you’re on a budget this is a decent option. The kitchen is small and poorly equipped, the showers kept flooding the bathroom floor, and it was not always clean. However it is a very good location for starting the hikes (especially Fitzroy at 1am), and the social atmosphere is decent. There is also a very cute friendly cat.
A comfortable and simple hostel. A great location for a lot of the walks, and staff that are happy to help but aren't always easy to find. There is a language barrier if you don't have much Spanish. The kitchen has the absolute basics, so can be a thing to wait for.
Pretty good location for early morning Fitz Roy hike, that’s really the only positive. Otherwise just another very mid hostel, good for a tighter budget but was quite glad to get out of here
