Complejo Don Joel

Hostel sencillo. Las habitaciones son grandes pero las camas un poco incómodas y algún día tuvimos frío. Solo hay una zona común que es la cocina/comedor, no había un espacio para estar tranquilo que no fuera tu cama. Cocina bien equipada, con espacio para guardar comida sin problema, limpieza diaria.

The private rooms here are really lovely, warm, and with en suite bathrooms. I didn't see the dorm, but the privates are quite separated from the dorms. The kitchen is great and really big, and met lots of people to chat with in the kitchen. Next door is a restaurant where you can get a decent menu del dia for 20.000, and large empanadas for 3.500.

Nice place and good for what I needed, no social lounge area so on bad weather days not loads of space to chill out and unfortunately my mattress was really worn in! Otherwise super warm and clean place to stay with good kitchen facilities and close to the bus and hikes

Very friendly atmosphere, and good facilities. Able to cook and chat in the kitchen. It was a good base of stay for exploring all that Chalten has to offer.

Equipe educada, apesar de não encontrá-los com frequencia. Local seguro, próximo à estação rodoviária. Não houve nenhuma orientação quanto a limpeza do quarto. Eu mesmo solicitei uma vassoura para varrer o quarto um dia. Quarto confortável, com aquecedor e cama boa. Entrava um cheiro forte de gás, cozinha, e comida pela janela do banheiro. A cozinha é pequena, pouco arejada, mas bem equipada, apesar dos itens serem velhos. Falta fiscalização da cozinha (alguns hóspedes não lavam...

Perfect location and very clean. Head lamps should not be rented here as they are not bright enough to be used in the Dark. They were kind enough to refund the Money. Beds are not that Great and the kitchen constantly smells like gas

Showers were fine, the dorm room was lockable (and just closing the door locked it) offering a bit more security than others. It also had a small shelf built in to the wall on the side of the beds, which are perfect for putting your glasses, or phone or a headlamp. However, it had some minor downsides. The restroom "stalls" were very small for someone who is tall. My knee was basically up against the door, making it hard to get up. Common area was just the kitchen, not great for socializatio

I enjoyed my 3 nights at complejo don joel. bed was very comfy. fan/heater in the room. storage locker. trekking poles for rent. super close to bus stop. walls paper thin so difficult to fall asleep without ear buds in. it is a 20 min walk to Laguna de los tres trail head. staff super friendly and helpful

Lovely comfortable hostel. Very big kitchen and large bathroom. Location was perfect and very close to the bus terminal. Good lockers and safe rooms.

The hostel is in a good location and the free breakfast is a bonus but there is no room to relax with seats or couches only the bench outside, the beds are quite uncomfortable too

ok stay cheapest i could find but not really a fun atmosphere. breakfast was ggreat though and staff very friendly

I really liked this hostel. I was staying a few days at Comarca and honestly was so uncomfortable. The rooms here are dark, so you can get a good rest. The room is very spacious, as is the kitchen. I also liked that the showers and restrooms are outside of the room (4 bed rooms).

Terrible! Nobody controles the time kitchen is open. People are very loug till 2 am. Very weak walls. You listen to talks all night! And alarm cliocks. Room for 4 dorms is in front of kitchen. Very unhappy. Cant sleep second night.

Reasonably clean private room in this hostel, although you'd definitely not sit in the bath. Didn't get the breakfast as we had booked before this was added, but we were always up too early anyway so no loss. A pretty sociable vibe and a great location.

Emplacement idéal, en plein centre d’El Chaltén, avec tous les sentiers de randonnée accessibles à pied. L’endroit est très sûr et nous y avons très bien dormi. Le personnel a été formidable du début à la fin : nous avons eu un petit souci avec la chasse d’eau et quelqu’un est venu réparer immédiatement. Convendría renovar utensillos de cocina y poner algunos más cuando esta lleno el lugar. Por el resto muy bien!

Établissement bien situé et propre. Supers douches. Néanmoins les lits sont bruyants et inconfortables, l’insonorisation est inexistante dans l’hostal, c’est bruyant , et il manque une salle commune confortable. La seule zone commune est la cuisine mais elle est vite prise d’assaut et il n’y a aucun autre endroit intérieur pour se poser ou manger lorsque toutes les tables sont prises … il faudrait sinon ajouter quelques tables et chaises lorsque l’hostal est plein.
