Pro Big beds. Fluffy blankets. Skylight that is translucent. Restaurant on site that made me a small pot of tea each morning for a reasonable price. They arranged our tuktuk to the train. Kind and knowledgeable staff. Hot fancy showers. Cons -They did not clean the bathrooms everyday. They do not change the fitted sheet or blankets between guests -Loud music at nights. 1 of 3 nights the volume was too high even with ear plugs -wifi does not reach the room. Would really recommend staying here! The dorm room is newish hence not loads of reviews but the restaurant/bar and hotel has been open for years. It’s literally in lonely planet guide of where to stay in Nuwara Eliya - and for good reason. Nisha the owner is so lovely, he always checked in with us to make sure we were having a good stay. There was live reggae music most nights, we actually ended up singing with them. Such good value for money, the restaurant food is delish + gorgeous views...

The beds were very comfy and quite big. It was convenient to have the restaurant with the hostel also and was nice to have the seating area to sit outside the rooms. The bathrooms were very clean and felt very new.
I really liked the female only dorm, the beds were quite wide and very cozy, we had a bit problems with the showers but it worked eventually. The staff was also nice and they had a lot of different food, they also had live music once. There wasn’t much going on when we were there but it was still nice:)

sehr schönes Hostel, sehr geräumig der 9er Dorm war mega!! So schlaue Verwendung von Platz. Essen auch sehr gut und alles sind mega nett und hilfsbereit. Der owner ist sehr lustig und gibt gerne mal Privatkonzerte

This hostel is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! The host is lovely and the hostel is located about a 4 min tuktuk drive from the bus station. The beds are spacious and comfy and feel private. The hostel also serves a big breakfast which is reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone!
Ich habe meine Zeit im King Fern Cottage geliebt! Dort arbeitet das tollste Personal überhaupt, die Lage ist schön im grünen und das Zimmer ist auch sehr komfortabel. Gemütliche Betten und es gibt zwei Badezimmer. Das Essen vor Ort war auch super und daher habe ich jeden Tag dort gefrühstückt und meistens auch zu Abend gegessen. Die Live Musik ist auch ein Vibe! Ab 22/23h wird die Musik dann auch leise gestellt oder spätestens auf eine liebe Nachfrage hin. Ich komme wieder! :)
Loved this hostel! The kindest staff who made you feel like their own family member- extremely caring and kind. Also amazing dorm with large, comfortable beds and comforters.

We really enjoyed our stay here, with cosy evenings by the fireplace and every night there was live music. They help you fix everything from tours to tuktuk and the food there is absolutely amazing! Really recommend this!
I loved this place! The dorm is beautiful, beds are so comfy, the food is good and its so cosy at night with the fire and live music. Hot showers too. All of the staff are so lovely and incredible, shoutout to the manager- he is amazing and can give so many recommendations and arrange anything. Its a bit quiet but was fine for me. Only thing missing is lockers in the dorm and wifi could be better in the dorm (is good in shared areas). Would definitely recommend!
I definitely recommend going to this place! The host is very social and kind, you can really tell he wants you to have the best experience here and gives you great advice. And it has a hot shower!!
very nice with big beds, warm showers and helpful staff. could rent a scooter there which was really nice as it is a small city where you have to go out of it to see the things nuwara eliya has to offer. good food in the restaurant as well.
