Macondo Hostel Isla Grande

The hostel is beautiful with all the plants everywhere, and the kitchen is very nice with lots of counter space and the stove works perfectly. Great location! The best part is the kind and helpful staff, especially Nini! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I had a great experience in Macondo. The staff was super helpful and friendly!

Located in lush forest just off beach in south side of Isla Grande. We stayed in a private room with AC and double bed which was very comfortable. Short walk outside to bathroom and shower room shared with other private. Clean and quiet. Safe and secure, not many tourist around. Host was friendly. Nice lobby kitchen area short walk outside for prepping own food you must bring. No breakfast, coffee or towels provided. Bring water to drink or you can buy bottles on island.

Große Empfehlung! Wir blieben 3 Nächte im Macondo Hostel und ich kann es sehr empfehlen. Anreise von Panama City mit dem und die Versorgung vor Ort funktionieren gut. Das Hostel gibt Tipps. Die Atmosphäre und die beiden Besitzer sind super und es ist außerdem sehr sauber. Auch die Insel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es geht alles sehr ruhig zu und besonders unter der Woche ist man fernab jeglichen Massentourismus. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis der Restaurants ist gut. Gerne wieder...

Ein tolles Hostel auf einer ruhigen und wunderschönen Insel. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

Más que en un hostal me sentí en un cuartel militar, el dormitorio es un agujero sin ventanas y Justina la peor anfitrióna de mi viaje por Centro América, lástima que sea el único hostal en Isla Grande!

Was a lovely stay! The place is beautiful and the staff were so kind and always available for questions and recommendations. This is definitely the place to stay on this island.

We had a wonderful time in this hostel. The staff and especially the owner Justina were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Everything was kept very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Justina had also a lot of recommendations for places to eat and activities and even organised a boat tour for us. We can totally recommend this hotel.

Ist ein schönes Hostel. Die Eigentümer sind beide nett. Die Insel selbst ist ein wenig speziell. Mich hat sie an einen verlassenen Ort erinnert. In diesem Sinne definitiv kein Paradies, aber auf seine eigene Art dennoch sehenswert, um auch ein Örtchen zu sehen, wo nicht alles perfekt auf Tourismus ausgelegt ist.
