Really lovely staff - breakfast was amazing and the rooms and social spaces were great 🫶

La atención fue excelente, el señor muy amable. Desafortunadamente tuvimos una plaga de cucarachas y arañas en nuestra habitación, tuvimos que dormir con olor a insecticida y con miedo que aparecieran más insectos en nuestras maletas. Bastante incómodo

The hostel was fantastic and everyone working there was amazing and extremely helpful. Elena is so sweet and Julio is the man. The beer was delicious too.

This hostel is in a great location in Guatemala City. The staff are all really nice and helpful as well. Definitely good value.

Los hosts y funcionarios del hostal son increíbles. Te dan dicas, te ayudan con lo que busques y harán lo que puedan para que tu estancia con ellos y en Guatemala sea 10/10. También el suero y las cervezas que ofrecen son deliciosos

An excellent and very helpful staff. Very friendly. Great inside atmosphere. They let me use the kitchen on a Monday when their restaurant was closed to make a quick vegetarian dinner. I had trouble getting hot water in the shower. It should be looked at. I highly recommend them.

I only got to stay here for one night, but I wish I had longer. Very comfortable beds, lovely common area! The owner Cynthia went above and beyond to be helpful and informative around the city and country! Would have loved to have been able to have a full evening here to try their own beers! Would 100% recommend! Thank you again Cynthia!

Super friendly staff, lovely building with good selection of food and drinks. Nice small room. For the money your spending I would stay here again and again.

This hostel was a good surprise. The location is excellent, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the space itself is beautiful. Cynthia was the best host EVER!! she speaks perfect English and Spanish and was always willing to help. She even took me to the bus station at 8 a.m. 🥹 Since the hostel owners brew their own craft beer, we also had a tasting, and the beers were fantastic. The food they serve is great as well. Highly recommended! 🍻

Me encanto el hostal, fueron todos muy amables. Pude entrar muy tarde y no me pusieron pegas. Me prestaron una toalla y cafe de bienvenida. Sitio seguro, con bar y buena vibra Repetiria sin duda

This Hostel is a gem, and the owner is one of the kindest and most informative people I have met while traveling. it's also a bar+brewery and you have to try all of their brews while you're there!

A cute little new hostel. Pros: owner and staff extremely friendly and gave lots of local recommendations. They upgraded me to the private room for free as I was the only guest. Great central location. Cons: The hostel was extremely quiet when I was there, I was the only guest for the majority of the time so didn’t meet travelers easily. Also no cooking or spaces to store food in fridge. I think the hostel has a lot of potential - they just need more bookings and a kitchen space!

a good hostel, its new so its still getting better with time. located in a great area, and with some shops of food and a bar inside the facility, owner and her family and the workers were excellent and very welcoming. she even invited us for dinner with her family which was very fun.

Los empleados y todos los que trabajan dentro El Talpetate son súper amables, y te hacen sentir en casa. La cama era cómoda y todo muy limpio. La zona también es muy bonito con muchas cosas para hacer cerca. Todo súper bien!! Aún que no hay cocina, habría sido súper tener un lugar donde se puede hacer un café/te y una refrigeradora, para que se puede disfrutar un café caliente y un snack por la mañana sin salir el edificio (pero entiendo el aspecto de los negocios pequeños).

I enjoyed my stay here! They just opened up the hostel part of the center and right now only have 1 room but they are wanting to add more beds. Cynthia was an amazing host! She had even helped me with transportation after my stay was complete. Julio was very friendly. They sometimes have live music, none while I was there, but Julio talked to me most of my stay! There is a guard or other staff at all times. Building is older and no hot water when I went but I only stayed 1 night so I didn’t mi...

A lovely place to stay, the room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. There is 24/7 security so we felt very safe the whole time.The location is close to the center with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. Cynthia gave us some great advice on how to get to Antigua via public bus.

Cynthia was such a kind host and the space is amazing! They have tons of records to play, local draft beers & food vendors and much more. I was considering here or tequila sunrise. If you want bar crawls and nice beds go to tequila. If you want an authentic experience and culture definitely come to Centro!! I do not regret my decision at all.
