One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed in a cute, cozy treehouse. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms and showers were always clean. The owner, Theo, is amazing. She makes incredible food with local fresh produce and ethically sourced animal products. I loved everything about this place especially it being right on the river. You couldn’t ask for more.

Incredible stay, Theo, Marcus and the pet family make you feel right at home. Great conversations, breakfast and recommendations. They really took care of us like family. A true home away from home - If you’re in San Ignacio, this is the place to be. :) Thank you for a great stay! David + Daniel

Visit a beautiful riverside location of native plants, soil, and wildlife not sullied by concrete or chrome fixtures. Visit people who cared for us in a generous unpretentious way of friends. You will be rewarded with a feeling of peace and optimism and memories of the great stories that they tell.

The property was fantastic. You're living in the jungle essentially and you have to take into account all of the things that come with that. some bugs here and there, but the hosts are fantastic and the family dinners were both delicious and created a great communal atmosphere to make friends and join with others for tours and trips. Would 100% stay here again

Great place to stay! Very relaxing environment and Theo and Marcus were super friendly and caring. Great food. TIP: If you’re thinking of doing the ATM caves but could do with something more challenging (and probably rewarding) talk to Theo about doing the Crystal cave with the guide Gonzo.

My sister and I stayed for several days at Parrot Nest, and had a wonderful time in this beautiful jungle oasis. Marcus made us feel at home and was so helpful with organizing a day trip for us to Caracol and Mountain Pine Ridge. Would absolutely stay again!

Our initial reaction walking up to this secluded rainforest hideaway was “This is so perfect, exactly the vibe we wanted.” Theo and Marcus are the most amazing hosts, helping us book tours, taxis and providing whatever we needed. The food was PHENOMENAL and we enjoyed the community of other guests while we dined. The lodge is right on a beautiful blue river, the perfect spot to sit in the cool water or take the tubes for a float. We highly recommend Parrots Nest! 🦜

Parrot nest is pure paradise!! We loved everything about this place. Theo and Marcus are the best hosts giving it such a family vibe and will ensure you have the best stay. Having a family style dinner each night with the guests with Theo's incredible cooking while getting to meet fellow travellers is unforgettable. Having howler monkeys and iguanas in the trees above you and tubing down the river, everything about this place is magical. I hope to come back one day!! Thank you Theo and Marcus

Couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Parrot Nest! Theo and Marcus were wonderful hosts and gave great recommendations on how to spend our time. Definitely recommend breakfast and dinner - Theo is a wonderful cook! Highly recommend!!

After 7 months of travelling the world I think this has been our favorite place so far. Theo is so kind and will help with anything you need- above and beyond! She welcomed us in like it was home and it is truly paradise. We loved coffee on the deck, family style dinners, watching the wildlife , and the dog cuddles.

We had a lovely stay with Thea and Marcus, such amazing people and always happy to help. Thea is an excellent cook as well and it was so nice to have a home cooked meal. The property is fantastic amongst the jungle and the cabin was spacious and clean. Couldn't recommend parrotnest more. Thank you

So Theo and Marcus went out of their way to help us. The food was excellent and the extra contacting to make our trip was great. Would definitely stay at this location again, would recommend this place.

I cannot rate parrot nest high enough, it’s simply perfect. Not far from every amenity possible but as soon as you step onto the track leading to it you are in a completely different world. Never experienced howler monkeys, royal rats or so many birds before- as for the fireflies, magical! Theo and Marcus were on hand if needed, full of information and advice and thoroughly great people. A perfect location to ‘decompress’ from daily life and after a long journey- outstanding!!
