Free Tours Hostel

Ajith is an amazing host, doing all his best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! He has two properties, a hostel next to the main road and a lovely wooden house with a panoramic view up the mountain. I stayed in the second and can fully recommend! It is so idyllic and lush up there, you have a waterfall in 10min walking distance and he even offers to bring you breakfast to the house. You can join his tours for free and eat at his mum's restaurant for a very affordable price :)

We loved our stay here! Everything about this place is magical, surrounded by nature outside of the town, with a secret waterfall within walking distance! The host was amazing, drove us where ever we needed, and gave us an amazing tour of the local villages. Everyone that helps here - tuktuk driver, Patmini etc are so lovely. Hostel is out of the way a bit from Ella, but a unique stay 💖

Loved staying here! They are super accommodating, kindest people we’ve come across on our travels so far. They did everything in their power to help us wherever they could. Make sure you eat with them as well! Best food we’ve had in Asia, and great value for money. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

We loved it here! Ajith and his Family Are one of the Most heartwarming people we met in Sri Lanka Place is very remote but for us one of the Most Beautiful stays The cooking Class with ajiths mum was amazing We miss you !!

This was one of the nicest places I have stayed, so incredibly peaceful. The garden was a joy to wake up to and having Ajith as a guide was perfect he took me to some amazing waterfalls and was incredibly helpful. It is very out of the way but if you’re looking for a secluded spot in nature this is the place!!

It’s a bit out of the city of Ella but very good to enjoy the nature wonders of Ella. The facilities are on the minimal side but still comfortable. Ajith, the host, is an amazing tour guide, he brought us to a hidden waterfall and even got us jackfruit directly from the tree to taste. Plus you have to taste his mom cooking 👌🏼 I would highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic experience in Ella

A must visit in Ella, far away from the super touristy main town. Up high with great views all around. Ajith is possibly the coolest and best host I’ve ever met. He took us on a free tour (hence the name) to little adam peak, secret waterfalls and 9 arches bridge. Travel to and from Ella wasn’t a problem as he was happy to take us places in his jeep. Real homely vibes, tea and breakfast from his mum in the morning home cooked lunch and a host that knows all the people and secret spots

This was one of the best hostel experiences I have ever had, Ajith is a brilliant host and cannot do enough for you. He’s a community man and is well loved. His tours are also brilliant, we had the opportunity to go camping with him and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip, 10/10 stay I would recommend

Amazing place to stay! Ajith and his family are truly wonderful. As a local guide, Ajith can take you around, and he’s absolutely the best. You’ll enjoy delicious local food and even have the chance to join cooking classes. The location is ideal to discover hidden places away from the tourists. Book this place if you want a true local experience. You’ll definitely have a wonderful time!
