+ The entire property is really clean, because they make sure to clean everything thoroughly each morning. The showers are great too, they even have a rain shower head as well as shampoo and body wash. In each bathroom, by each bed are hangers included so you never have to worry about your clothes getting wet, you can get fresh towels every day anndd I never had to wait until a bathroom was free because they have 5 separate ones downstairs. The beds are really comfortable, the rooms are quite even at prayer times, the AC until is really good. The lockers are located under the beds are genuinely super big. The Kitchen is really well equipped and the fridge is really big so there’s always space. They offer Tours you can book at the Hostel and they’re cheaper than on Getyourguide (yes you can pay with card too). The Hostel was really good and definitely the best one I’ve been in Indonesia but the best part of my stay was the amazing staff. Each one of them is incredibly sweet and they always do their best to help you out. I actually got to hang out with them outside of their work hours and I had such a great time getting to know them while eating dinner, cooking and working out. I’ll miss you guys Much Love Lotta

The staff was really friendly but, besides that I would not recommend staying. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Mold and bugs everywhere. They are very small and hard to shower in. There is no place to put your things. There are no locks on the dorm rooms or the front door so anyone could walk in. The walls are extremely thin. You can hear everyone talking out there till late in the night along with any noises from the street. Kitchen isn’t very clean either. Not very sociable either
+ I had a really nice stay at Casa de Vie Butangrang in Malang. The staff were genuinely friendly and made me feel very welcome from the start. They were also super helpful in arranging tours, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. The food I had — prepared by Rian — was really good and definitely a highlight of my stay. Overall, a great experience with warm hospitality, and I’d happily come back!

Pros: good service & easy communication with the hosts. Booked a scooter and also a tour and both was nice Also good WiFi Cons: bathrooms were not clean at all. I saw they get cleaned in the mornings but if you want to use it later in the day or in the early mornings bins are full, toilet paper empty and hair everywhere. It was disgusting Also the dorm was full of people’s trash & the bin was not emptied Locker under the bed where you put your luggage was full of dust

very friendly staff. they also take their time to help you planning tours, renting scooter or else. Rian also makes the best and funniest walking tours and makes you feel so welcomed. If you want to spend some more time in the city just ask him what to do. It‘ll be fun
I would definitely recommend staying here when you are in Malang! The location is very nice and in a cute neighborhood. But the staff really made for a good time! Thanks Rian for always giving me a good laugh and always being ready to dance and do kareoke! And Bilqis who is the sweetest and so nice to chat with! We forgot to book a night after the bromo and they went the extra mile to still provide us with a good place to sleep while the hostel was fully booked!
Absolutely loved my stay here! The vibe is amazing, super easy to meet people in the common area. Rian and all People from the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with local tips. Everything was clean and the location is perfect.
decent hostel, comfy beds, nice kitchen space and rooftop terrace. Didn't feel super secure as no locks or key card to get into building or into bedroom. Bathrooms were very dirty, mushrooms growing out of the door in one of them, also gaps in the bathroom walls leading directly into common areas made it feel like there was limited privacy. Decent social vibe, was ok for a couple nights but probably wouldn't stay again
