Elegant Elephant Hostel Sigiriya

Super Hostel! Wir hatten zwei tolle Nächte in einem sehr sauberen und gemütlichen Dorm. Die Aussicht vom Schlafzimmer ist der Wahnsinn und es ist der perfekte Ort, um zu chillen. Das Frühstück wie auch das Abendessen waren sehr lecker und liebevoll angerichtet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und sympathisch. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Das Hostel ists sehr nett gelegen und schön der Aufenthaltsbereich im Mangowald ist sehr gemütlich und die Mangos schmecken famtastisch. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, besonders Sandun ist für jeden Spaß zu haben. Das Essen hat ein solides Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und ist sehr gut. die Pancakes zum Frühstück waren großartig. es ist etwas weiter draussen aber man kann nachts Glühwürmchen beobachten!

If you are looking for a gentle and calm stay in Sigiriya, this is the perfect hostel for you. I stayed for three nights just to give myself a bit space and it was the best decision. You wake up with an incredible sunrise view over the lush green, you can even see the lions rock with the beautiful sound of Mother Nature. Hostel is very nice:) The breakfast was good and the view amazing. Also the Hostel Personal was very helpful! An air conditioner would be great…the room got quite hot in the day time but despite that everything was perfect!

mega, es war das gemütlichste Hostel, haben nen ganzen Tag nur gechillt, gespielt gelesen und die Mangoplantagen und die Aussicht auf den Rock genossen. super preise für transfer zum sonnenaufgangshike und mega leckeres Frühstück und essen. hatte die beste mango dort. kleiner tipp, stopft die Mückennetze noch unter die Matraze

The toilet is great, big and spacious. But please don’t leave any food outside as the rat will come and eat it at night and you can’t sleep at all. No water is provided. All have to purchase. The location is further deep inside and hard to walk to find food. You can as the owner to ride you but they will charge you a high fee.

It was the best hostel I have stayed in so far. I felt very welcome. The breakfasts and dinners were always so good. They drove us to see the sunset and sunrise, and picked us up whenever we needed them to. I can highly recommend it. I wish I had more time to stay.

We loved our stay at the Elegant Elephant hostel. Comfortable beds with a delicious included breakfast and very kind helpful hosts! Highly recommend

The hostel is nice and immersed in nature. However, I couldn’t stay due to overbooking after arriving late and exhausted. I was placed in another, very isolated hostel. Although the host initially offered to bring us back to the hostel, take us into the city, and pick us up so we could at least have the paid breakfast, he eventually withdrew and only offered overpriced tuk-tuks. I do not recommend

Nice and peaceful place in the middle of mango trees! Friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast! Clean room and really good beds with Lion rocks view. Highly recommended!

Generally liked it, although they had overbooked the rooms so I had be placed in a neighbouring hostel. Comparatively small hostel with great views on the loins rock, in between wonderful mango trees. Very comfortable beds. If you’re a solo traveler you might wanna look for something bigger or closer to town since after 5pm you’ll need a tuktuk to/from the hostel because of elephants roaming on the streets.

I was excited to stay at the here since the pictures look great and the location is out in nature. The ambience is exactly what you see and the vibe is peaceful. However, there were a few things that fell pretty flat. Since it’s far out of town, you have to rely on their restaurant for mediocre food at high prices. It took over 45 minutes to come out. The bathrooms and dorms are great but WiFi was hit or miss. Lastly, the staff aren’t responsive on WhatsApp and clearly had a gender preferenc...

Amazing hostel! We really enjoyed our time here and it felt so peaceful in the middle of nature. The staff was incredibely helpfull and even got my phone back when I accidently left it in a car. One of the best hostels i stayed at. Love it here

I really enjoyed my stay at the elegant elephant hostel, it’s really quiet and peaceful there. The staff is really friendly and is really helpful with organising things for you. The breakfast was really delicious. Would stay there again!

The host was really nice, you get welcomed with a Mango Juice. The location is in the middle of a mango farm, nice view from the terrace. Really liked it!

Really beautiful stay in the middle of rice fields and mango plantations close to Sigiriya. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food they cook is cheap and really tasty!
