First word that comes to mind is “Paradise”. The check in was super quick and easy just like the check out. The staff there is super friendly. The rooms are super clean and all the beds have a curtain so you also get your privacy. There are a lot of possible activities and the location is amazing seeing that you can reach a lot of places by foot and it’s not a long walk. Also we really enjoyed the view you have from the chill area outside. We absolutely loved our stay there.
Great staff. They took on us on a great tour of sigiriya and Dambulla. They cooked us a great breakfast each morning. They sorted us a bed when we arrived at 5am
The host was absolutely incredible throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious and he organised the best cooking class for us (Eco Kitchen - you have to do it) and took us there and back. The place was pretty clean and fairly sociable although quiet (which we liked). Due to the stunning location in the trees, it’s a little walk away from the centre of the town but we found it quite easy to get about on foot and a tuk tuk is never far away.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Travel Tree Hostel. It’s in a lovely peaceful area with nature all around. The bed was comfy with curtains and a power supply. The bathroom was good with a hot shower! The staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good and they offered dinner too. It’s very small and quiet so not a social hostel but it was a nice quiet escape. There are adorable chipmunks living in the roof which I liked watching. Overall for the money it’s excellent value and hospitality...
