+ Lo staff è stato senza dubbio il punto di forza della struttura: estremamente gentile, disponibile e sempre pronto a rispondere a ogni nostra esigenza. Questo ha davvero fatto la differenza e ha contribuito a migliorare l’esperienza complessiva, soprattutto nei momenti di difficoltà. Il cibo era buono e la colazione abbondante e soddisfacente. L’isola è semplicemente un paradiso: spiagge bellissime e, dove curate, molto pulite. Inoltre, c’è anche la possibilità di visitare altri locali, rendendo il soggiorno ancora più vario e interessante.
- Purtroppo abbiamo riscontrato alcuni problemi nella sistemazione. C’erano evidenti tracce (e odore) di presenza di topi, un aspetto che la struttura dovrebbe assolutamente risolvere. Abbiamo avuto anche problemi con la doccia, che ci hanno portato a cambiare bungalow, ma anche nella nuova sistemazione lo scarico non funzionava perfettamente. Consigliamo inoltre di migliorare la protezione dagli insetti: sarebbe utile installare zanzariere alla porta e reti più grandi sopra il letto (anche se lo staff si è attivato per fornirci una soluzione). Un’altra criticità riguarda il trasferimento in barca: all’andata ci siamo completamente bagnati, così come i nostri bagagli, a causa delle dimensioni ridotte dell’imbarcazione e della mancanza di protezioni. Al ritorno i bagagli sono stati coperti grazie all’attenzione dello staff, ma noi passeggeri siamo comunque arrivati fradici. Sarebbe consigliabile prevedere una copertura, una paratia o almeno fornire protezioni adeguate agli ospiti, oltre ad avvisare in anticipo. Nel complesso consiglierei questa esperienza per la bellezza dell’isola e per la qualità dello staff, che ha reso possibile e piacevole il soggiorno nonostante alcune criticità. Tuttavia, la struttura dovrebbe intervenire su alcuni aspetti fondamentali per migliorare il comfort e la sicurezza degli ospiti.

+ If it was not for staff member Youssef, who spoke good English and helped us navigate with the other staff we would have been at a loss all the time. Youssef got things moving, sorted some problems and was also a good friend. He is the saving grace on this property, which, because of previous island experiences we have had on tropical islands, annoy be called a “resort”. Hearo, the on site boss, also gave us a 10% discount because of the water issues. Hearo took a long time to warm up with us but in the end was very friendly and hughed ua at the end of our stay. If it were not for these two men I would have left this “like” section blank. I’m sorry but we will choose another resort on this island if we ever return. Here’s why: (see next section)
- This property is wrongly classified as 4 star! It should be classified on your app as two star The small boat across to the island has NO cover and cut out on our way to the island because of plastic in the sea that wound round the propeller. A bigger, covered boat is needed. 90% of our 4 nights the water was off/not available Explanations for virtually everything: hard come by Water was never on when we wanted a shower This made the bathroom unhygienic and to stink Ants were everywhere by second day because of dirt Shower towels were useless for drying (though clean) Food and drinks on the menu were mostly unavailable Service for food was very slow/sometimes forgotten Breakfast portions were tiny The girl serving every day mixed up orders often She was nice and fun at times, but strict and not listening to us and others properly. “Attitude”. No one greeted us for 30 minutes upon arrival Then we had to wait 30 minutes for our bungalow to be ready and they knew we were coming for 90 min. The beach in front of our “prepared” room: filthy See pictures: how can this be a clean welcome? The garbage in the sea and on beach was disgusting Garbage was left lying about the property all the time Although fairly good cleaning happened some days in front of the main restaurant and main beach the rest of the time there was garbage on shore from staff and from visitors that was never cleaned up. The coral was pretty much dead wherever I looked The sea floor was so greasy from the pollution that I did not swim If you are OK with no decent showers and living it rough in a rustic situation then you might be OK All the staff (except Youssef) had basic to NO English. Communication in a setting like this serving mostly English and French speaking guests should have staff who can speak one or other of those languages on site.

- Bungalow 7 got 1 gecko and at night full of rats ! During my stay they have no water from 6pm until next day ! Mid night no electricity! It was horrible ! I was disgusted with rats inside my room ! The hotel shall provide mosquitoes net in each room for Guest comfort

- Bungalows and dorm were incredibly hot and sleep was not comfortable. One of the staff members was very rude, combative, and unhelpful. The resort booked too many guests and did not have the staff to keep up. Food took 1-2 hours and sometimes never came. My friend waited 2 hours for lunch and then was told the kitchen was closed and he’d have to wait for dinner time to eat. I tried to order coffee five times and was ignored. I could see this resort doing much better with less guests, but at full capacity it was a nightmare. Check-in took multiple hours. Showers never worked. Not enough hammocks for everyone. The island itself is wonderful and I still had a fun weekend snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, and enjoying the sunset. The main host was overwhelmed with too many tasks, although he was nice and was trying his best.

- Formal Complaint – Early Check-Out Due to Unsatisfactory Conditions Dear Koh Ta Kiev Island Resort Management/ booking.com I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay at Koh Ta Kiev Island resort, reservation number 5894.944.615, from 17th February 20 February 2026. Due to the conditions I encountered, I was compelled to check out earlier than planned on the 19th February 2026. Specifically: Issue 1 – Excessive noise from neighboring rooms/during nighttime hours] Issue 2 - bed bugs Issue 3 – e.g. limited electricity and running water. Issue 4 - Food and drinks menu limitations- was told don't have stock or you can only order certain meals. Despite raising these concerns with staff, they appologised, the issues were not resolved in a satisfactory or timely manner. These circumstances significantly affected my comfort and overall experience, making it unreasonable to continue my stay. I wish to be re-imbursed for 1 night as I was charged on check out the full stay. The host Ren is his name advised I send an email to booking.com as he cannot do refunds or make changes I must address the issue with booking.com. Please address this issue urgently. Still await response from the resort.

+ Bungalows assez spacieux face à la mer ( extra matelas gratuit pour la petite), au calme dans la partie magnifique de l' île ... petit dej minimaliste mais correct...kayak gratuit et belle salle de jeux ( Billard, baby foot)
- Coupures d' électricité fréquentes ( donc eau aussi😅), obligé de dormir fenêtre ouverte et pas de moustiquaires, on se fait bouffer...
+ Pour commencer ce lieu est ouvert depuis peu..L emplacement est le meilleur de l île car même à marée haute il reste de la place sur la plage. La plage est nettoyée chaque jour car des détritus arrivent par les courants. Durant notre séjour de 4 nuits on n a eu que 2 nuits avec des voisins (2 autres loués).. la plupart viennent y passer 1 nuit en amoureux ou 1 nuit pour faire la fête entre jeunes en tente.. aucune incidence en nuisance sonore car sont implantés de l autre côté du resto... Les bungalows sont grands mais quasi vide. Le personnel a vraiment tout fait pour nous faire apprecier notre séjour ! Merci à eux ! La 1ere nuit a été horrible ! Attaque de moustiques .. 2 centimetres d eau restaient à stagner devant la porte.. on a glissé 2 fois ! les draps et serviettes (qui n essuient rien) sont en matières synthétiques bas de gamme.. font beaucoup transpirer, très désagréable de dormir dedans et j ai même déclaré une allergie ! Ils ont apportés tous les draps qu'ils ils avaient .. toujours la même matière horrible ! On a été depanné par le camping tenu par des Français. Très sympa on y a mangé tous les soirs.. Et pour finir rien pour poser nos valises.. laissées à même le sol.. on nous a changé de bungalow (le seul avec moustiquaire!) Salle d eau plus de problème et 2 petites tables ont été mises pour y poser nos valises. A signaler le 1er jour pas de papier toilette et on devait réclamer de l eau... tout a été resolu et on a passé un super séjour quasi coupé du monde.. au calme.. temperature de l eau parfaite.. canoës à disposition..
- Le petit dejeuner assez frugal.. avec café / thé oeufs et 4 demi tartines on a pu avoir 1 verre de jus de fruits en plus.. c était déjà un geste.. Les bungalows méritent d être mieux équipés: au moins 1 étagère dans la salle d eau pour y poser trousse de toilettes. Banc pour poser valises. Plus de cintres (il y en avait que 3). Et pour un établissement qui mets en avant l écologie avec panneaux solaires etc.. vraiment des draps en coton et des serviettes en eponge de bambou bio (+ absorbant que le coton et seche + vite) permettrait à ce "resort" de meriter ce titre et de se démarquer de ses concurrents ppur au final apporter un confort et un plaisir aux vacanciers de se glisser dans des draps frais et agréables à la peau. On a été découvrir l autre côté de l île qui par de forts courants est envahi de détritus avec des offres de logements succincts avec de fortes odeurs... cela nous a fait encore plus apprécier le koh ta kiev resort !!!
