Ancestral Lima Downtown

At a time when I couldn't cancel the booking on Hostelworld anymore, I was informed that I would actually stay at the Alpes Lima Kennedy Park Hostel in Miraflores -- an area I had been trying to avoid. However, initially I quite liked the Alpes Hostel -- until they tried to overcharge me at the bar by charging the same price in USD instead of soles in a credit card payment. Luckily, I noticed immediately when I saw the price in EUR on my phone (I cannot even choose to pay in USD), so they cancel...

This hostel is basically a windowless, air-conditioned dorm and a few double rooms above a busy restaurant, using staff bathrooms which are reached through storage and break rooms that double as an uninviting “common area,” with no social atmosphere. There’s no kitchen, drinking water, or amenities beyond 24-hour reception and paid towels. However, it’s clean, beds have curtains, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Sehr entspannte Atmosphäre direkt im Zentrum der Altstadt von Lima. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir hatten eine schöne Zeit hier :)

I truly hope that the owner of the hostel reads this. I stayed for a total of five nights, a few additional nights after my original booking. It’s totally unacceptable to only have working showers for about 1/10 of the day. They do not have water for showering for the vast majority of the time. And when they do have water, it’s usually not hot water, it’s room temperature. I know that it’s a new hostel and they’re still working out the kinks but this would not be hard to fix.

Heerlijke en vooral sfeervolle plek om te overnachten. Het personeel is erg aardig en de kamers zijn schoon. De omgeving is ook heerlijk om in rond te dwalen, als was het dankzij de eenrichting wegen even zoeken hoe je er met de auto komt. Wij komen in ieder geval graag nog eens terug!

This might be my coolest hostel experience yet. I was the sole guest because they had just opened, but I think it would still be enjoyable if the place was packed. The decor was incredible. The court yard in the middle was so pretty. Hostels often look better in pictures, but this was the complete opposite. I sat for hours in the social room because it was so gorgeous. Alfredo, Sebastian, and Joyce were also very attentive and accommodating. No complaints

Lovely hostel in a gorgeous historical building. Very convenient location in the historic district. The rooms are very unique, big with extremely tall ceiling. The staff were great as well.

The building is so beautiful all the decoration and the garden with the fountain! Very close to the main square and the catacombs in a save area. Highly recommended!

Amazing and safe location. The hostel has very friendly staff and is kept very clean. would definitely recommend staying here.

Energia increíble. Todo está limpio, bien ubicado y el ambiente es súper relajado. El personal es muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Ideal para descansar o conocer otros viajeros. ¡Lo recomiendo totalmente!

Endroit magnifique, très bien situé, il possède un superbe restaurant au premier étage avec vue sur la mer.
