Bon séjour au Pioneros, un des réceptionnistes dit que c’est moins cher de payer par carte, le lendemain en ajoutant une nuit on nous fait payer en cash… un peu bizarre
It’s old, it’s dirty and the workers are weird. But there is a good atmosphere and it’s cheap.
We had a fantastic stay at this hostel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, helping us to book a tour that they offer to the Glacier. The hostel was very clean, including the room and the communal areas. Very social hostel. We loved it here and would not think twice about staying again.
Amazing stay !
OK it you're passing through Calafate for a day or two. Everything works, the kitchen and communal areas are big, but not much atmosphere, showers and toilets have seen better days and bunk beds are so low I kept bumping my head when I woke up. Not terrible, not amazing.
Très bon séjour ! Seul détail il y’a pas une bonne insonorisation 20min à pied du terminal Propre Super petit déjeuner !!!
Bedroom was extremely cold. Bed and pillow very uncomfortable. Shower sometimes had hot water, sometimes cold. Check in took a really long time and the reception desk always seemed to be busy. The people working there are very nice. The kitchen is big. Hostel would be fine for one night but wouldn’t recommend for any longer.
Nice place, little old but large common areas, kitchen, and outdoor space. Bed and pillow were really comfortable. Lights and plug-ins convenient to the bed. Would stay again.
Für eine Nacht total okay
Some rooms only have one key, so they're left open constantly. Some rooms are supposed to have lockers. Mine definitely didn't. If you're checking out and want to leave your luggage, be aware that the luggage room is not locked thus being easily accessible to anyone while not having video surveillance. So don't leave valuables! They also don't take any responsibility. Check-in took forever. Rooms were pretty clean. Breakfast while included was disappointing. Front desk person was lovely thoug...
Very clean, good location and helpful staff. El Calafate just has defensive hostels across the board
Chill relaxed vibe. Not a party hostel when I was there but definitely has a great set up for socializing. I liked the location a little 10 minute walk out of town, easy to get to everything. The beds and bathroom was clean and the kitchen was kept spotless! Would stay again.
The staff were amazing, its close to the main district but not in the hustle and bussle! The facilities are ok but not great, some stalls don't close, a little run down but clean. Good if you are only there for a short turn around! Wouldn't recommend for a long stay.
Muy buena opción. Cerca del centro y la terminal. Destacar unas muy buenas zonas comunes
I though this was a really good hostel. Very large common area and bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Great kitchen area. A little bit out of town but still only a 10 minute walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. A really good trekking hostel. Would recommend.
How this hostel has gotten such a high rating is incomprehensible for me. Positives: The main dining area is actually a cozy room. The people at the reception were nice and did try (despite their limited English and my limited Spanish) to help us and give advice. WiFi is ok. Clean enough. Negatives: very bad kitchen, s**** room, s**** beds, s**** bathroom and shower. Free Breakfast is a cup of coffee and toasted bread - literally nothing more. I would not stay there again.
The Beds are really cosy and the free breakfast was good. There could be better utensils in the Kitchen. We asked the staff After a cheap way to get around here , but only the very expensive tours were always suggested to us which were sold in the hostel. Also, we were only recommended the most expensive taxi to the airport, rather inform otherwise, we have found much cheaper alternatives for everything. All in all i can recommend it :)
looks like a military base
My WORST experience was on 2nd December 2024 in the morning in the breakfast room. While I was waiting for took some more pieces of orange 🍊 which my third time. Suddenly one of the youngest female staff came to me and shout very lound " MUCHO MUCHO " She wanted to stop me to eat the orange and soooooooo much angry to me among a lot of guests. At that time I was very ashame .I'm 64 years old from Thailand who travel more than 60 countries. Please tell the owner.
Alright but it's very tight in the rooms, not a lot of space. The toilets are a disaster to be honest, the showers are okay. Sometimes the power turns off or you're missing cold water. I enjoyed the breakfast.
