Squanchy Elephant Hostel

Alles war super entspannt, die Besitzer sind lustig und freundlich, Klimaanlage, Föhn, Handtücher alles top. Vor allem für den Preis nur zu empfehlen :)

Good hostel, great price. I wasn't a fan of Koh Chang especially the Lonely Beach area, but the hostel was good. Clean, AC, water, coffee, tea, only 4 people in a rain, curtains, towel, locker, good matrices.

not worth the price at all you can get much better deals in the same area, owners were nice tho

This is a bit of a tricky one to review as the place is generally quite new and I understand there's still a lot of improvement to be made and room to grow. However, I do need to be honest and critical about my experience, which overall wasn't great. Starting with what was good. The location is great, just down an alley by Lonely Beach, which meant it was generally quiet and all the rooms are also only 4 bed rooms (kinda, more on that later). Jule and Mike were also both friendly and nice guests...

Die Lage ist eigentlich gut, gibt nur kein 7 Eleven im Ort. Das Hostel ist recht klein, wodurch man leicht neue Leute kennen lernt. Trotzdem bin ich mit der Ausstattung nicht so ganz zufrieden gewesen. Unzufrieden war ich mit dem Handtuch (macht einen wirklich garnicht trocken), der klospülung im Bad (funktioniert nicht wirklich deshalb gibt’s einen Eimer), der Möglichkeit Wertsachen aufzubewahren (es gibt einen Mini Safe aber da passt kein iPad rein) und dem Licht (selbst mein Handy war hel...

Die Hosts waren super nett und zuvorkommend! Die Zimmer waren sauber und es gab genug Platz. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Wenn wir wieder nach Koh Chang kommen, würden wir wieder hier schlafen.

Really nice hostel right next to lonely beach and evening there, but far away enough to not hear the music at night! Owners are a very kind and friendly couple who respond instantly on WhatsApp. It’s also much cheaper than other places. Would recommend.

Had a very nice stay. Owners were warm, kind and shared advice where to eat. Also socialized with guests and even invited to a bar to join them. It's a new hostel, so work in progress but even during my stay they made constant improvements and listened feedback. They even have small security lockers for each bed. Mattresses are new and comfy. Toilet was new. Air conditioning worked well. Areas to chill with other guests. Very close to the main bars but still quiet enough for good sleep. Thanks:)

Recently opened so lots of improvements are still in the works. Perfect place to sleep peacefully as it’s away from the loud late night bars. I spent all day out as it’s not currently much of a place to hang and meet other travellers. Great value for money and would happily stay again as the other hostels on Koh Chang were much more pricey.

I loved it here. The hostel has just reopened and is still being set up. I stayed in a room with four beds. Everything is easy to reach, and even though there’s a lot of party going on outside, it’s actually really quiet. I would recommend the place.
