Huaraz Colonial

La zona del hostel no estan centrica y hay mucha bulla por la noche, se escucha las peleas de los vecinos y las cosas que hacen las demas habitaciones.

Très bel établissement, coloré, chaleureux avec chien et poussins et un très bel espace de verdure. Le gérant est super sympa. Les chambres sont confortables. Prévoyez des bouchons d’oreilles car les chiens de la rue aboient toute la nuit. Il y a une bonne connexion mais en dehors des chambres seulement. Cela dit il y a des espaces avec hamacs, salons de jardin pour se poser donc ce n’est pas gênant. Un vrai havre de paix au sein d’Huaraz !

Really nice inner courtyard and a good place to relax in between hikes. A little far from the city centre. I didn't find staff very forthcoming with information about hike/ tour options etc. or that attentive to guests' needs. But all in all it's good value for money and rooms are decent.

Staff helpful but not the friendliest. The included breakfast is quite small: Only about half an egg, a banana, and two small buns. Also on some days it wasn’t ready until 8am when most people are already hiking. 2/3 of the toilets downstairs were broken, and the one toilet in the dorm is an ensuite with an open window to the beds so it smells the room. Shower pressure terrible and often not hot. Could make the common areas nicer. Location is good and close to the central market.

We had a great time here! The room had a lot of space and we got a cleaning service every day. It’s a lovely place with very friendly staff and cute little dogs. Also you can have breakfast and borrow walking sticks for free. We can 100% recommend this place!
