Sukoon Hostel

The staff was super friendly and helpfull :) The owner clearly registered the Hostel here on Hostelworld but he doesn't give the staff access to the bookings, so the room we booked on here was taken when we arrived... First they wanted us to pay more for a different hotel but as we said no to this, they found solution and gave us the booked room... Anyways I am sorry for the staff

INCOMPETENT: They have overbooked our reservation and there was no more room left for us. They only offered a matress on the ground for me in a common room (with a lot of light). After 24 hours on a flight without sleep I just needed to lay down and this was not sufficient. They said this happened because we booked too early (2 months before coming). Offered to put us in a different hostel on the other side of town (taxi would probably cost us same as the room). Went to a different place.

This is quite a new place. Staff were good. Cash only payment. Breakfast is not included. Please note: the bus station shown on the map is incorrect. It is not Al Azaiba, which is about 13 km east of the hostel. It should be Burj Sahwa or Mwasalat bus station. You also can’t walk to the airport, but there’s a convienient bus. Overall I was pleased with this place.
