+ The owner was extremely friendly and very accomodating, he prepares this homemade ladakhi pasta (a bit similar to our rajasthani dal dhokli) and it was yum.. he also helped us w Cab booking to and fro from airport and in bike renting too.
- We went during peak winters so in ladakh the water pipes freeze everywhere and you have to use it from drums (quite the local experience if you ask me)
+ It’s close to Shanti Stupa temple
- I wish they had provided the towel and rubbish bin

+ Host was unbelievably accomodating, went out of his way multiple times to help us with early check-in / lifts into town. Even drove us into town when taxi’s were unavailable. Great value for money for the accomodation you get. Bit far from city centre but a very quiet spot, good for anyone doing the Rickshaw Run, located just near the vehicle storage.

+ Everything was really great. Clean, neat, cozy, quiet and serene. Nestled in a residential/guesthouse neighbourhood in the hills overlooking Leh, the views of the Himalayas are breathtaking, and the rustic charm of the place is the perfect compliment to the overall ambience of the property. BUT, the very best part of the stay was the owner, Dorje, who went out of his way every moment of the stay to ensure that I had everything that I wanted or needed to be comfortable. Truly, I'll never stay anyplace else when I'm in Leh!
- NA. Liked everything!

+ I spent a week at Karma Lodge in February, a challenging but rewarding month to be in Ladakh, with almost no other tourists around. At high altitude and such low temperatures you need a trustworthy and conscientious host, and there couldn't be a better person for it than Tsewang. He made sure I was comfortable and kept occupied throughout my stay, with four affordable day trips in the vicinity of Leh. His driver Dorje was professional and considerate, and stayed safe on snowy mountain roads. We were even lucky enough to see wolves and a lynx near Wari La Pass. The room itself was both spacious and homey, a nice retreat when the cold nights rolled in. The meals prepared by Tsewang and his wife were filling and tasty, and often came with interesting discussions on history and culture. Overall it was a great experience, and I look forward to returning soon. Many thanks!
