Notting Hill Hostel

Good, affordable option for a quick night in Shenzhen! Not much privacy in the bathroom but great, hot shower.

Unfourtunatly very very dirty and I am relatively sure the meds were not made fresh, I found hairs in the sheets and there was dirt everywhere.

My favourite hostel in Shenzhen!

Really awesome hostel ;) Affordable prices, pool table, great wifi and staff that speaks english perfectly ;) You have a smoking balcony in case you need to and a terrace on top. The location is pretty convenient, provided that is between the Factory Area Bao An and the Cool Nanshan. There is plenty of Cheap and delicious food around in the next village that you can tackle at any given moment of the day. Lingzhi line station is about 10 min foot and there is a big mall 4x blocks away.

the recepcionist was nice with me. the room was so dirty. they never clean the room, they just empty bins and change toilet paper. the floor was so sticky and with a lot of hairs. i couldn’t leave my backpack anywhere so i had to sleep with it. a random men was following me up to the stairs trying to flirt with me. as a female solo traveller i wouldn’t recommend this hostel.

The rooms and hostel needs renovation, there was smell in rooms due to water spillage on walls ! Poor door locks and no lock in bathroom.

L’emplacement de cet auberge est vraiment loin de la vraie ville de Shenzhen. Il faut marcher 10 mins environ pour aller jusqu’à la station de métro la plus proche. L’ambiance n’existait pas en faite il y avait un sens de « rester silencieux » et pas trop de fun aux alentours non plus. Les casiers sont vraiment étroits aussi. Si tu as un grand sac à dos ça ne marchera pas. Les toilettes dans la chambre n’ont pas de portes juste un rideau.

Sheets were clean, but the mattress had no foam left and it was on wooden slats, so not very comfortable. I wish I was able to pay more to have it a bit nicer. Shower/squat toilet area of 15 rooms is hard to keep clean with just one manager. Worked out ok though.

I have stayed here before. This is not a five star accommodation, but the price is great, the beds are comfortable and it is near to several supermarkets, lots of restaurants and the subway. As others mentioned there isn’t an elevator, so perhaps you should travel lighter and don’t buy too much useless stuff? Take away impressions, photos and friendships. The front desk is helpful, but even more so if you can speak some Chinese. Again, you came to experience another culture,
