Lieu exceptionnel (tres joli et a l'orée de la forêt avec des petits colibris!), lieu de vie ouvert sur la nature et la contemplation - calme. Café latte très bon !
really beautiful Hostel
Very friendly staff, super beautiful area, nice rooms
Wunderschöes Hostel am Rande von Mindo (5min fussweg ins Zentrum). Sehr nettes personal und eines der saubersten Hostels ever. Kein Partyhostel und auch sonst nicht so suuper social aber für mich wars Perfekt
Nice location away from the main centre, large communal space and decent kitchen. helpful with options for tours and things to do around town.
Such an amazing, special, magical place. If you’re looking for somewhere beautiful, relaxing & peaceful, this is the perfect place
I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. It has a very chilled vibe and the staff are really helpful. The kitchen facilities are slightly limited and the location is slightly out of the Main Street. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, I would recommend this hostel. I felt comfortable and safe here.
Lovely place private room is nice! Thin walls
It had a great communal areas , the kitchen has everything you need it and the staff were very helpful!
I enjoyed my stay. The hostel itself is cute, clean, and has good facilities. They have a hostel cat who hangs out in the common area, some hammocks, and also hummingbird feeders! The price was also very good, at about $12 per night. My only drawback is that the hostel is on the edge of town & the short walk down the outskirts streets is not particularly busy/well-lit. Though I felt safe in Mindo, generally.
Super Aufenthalt. Bester Cappuccino bisher. Absolute Empfehlung, ich komme wieder.
Beware if you have respiratory issues or aversion to mould. Walls and ceiling of dorms and bathroom on lower level were covered with fine powdery mould. Appears first to be dust but all rooms have a very musty smell and appear poorly ventilated. I moved rooms once to try and solve this but seems to be an issue all over the property. Ended my stay early because of this. Shame since the communal area and general vibe of the hostel and its staff were lovely. Hope this is fixed soon.
It looks cute on the surface, but when you look closer there is mold growing on the walls. My backpack was against this wall so the mold got in my bag and clothes :( I did laundry here an they lost my things, when I told them the older lady just didn’t care and walked away. The younger lady is nice and tries to help. Try to get a lower bunk bed, the upper ones smell moldy, I don’t know how often they get turned over and mindo is very damp
Cash only but stated nowhere. No shoes allowed but stated nowhere. Dogs and cats pee on the floor but still no shoes allowed. No A/C but it is very hot and humid. Paid for a private room and the window was left open so it was filled with mosquitos and spiders. Road leading to hostel is poorly lit and makes it dangerous to come home at night because of mud and animals. One staff member rude and dismissive, other very kind and pleasant and helpful. Guests loud after quiet hours
The walls were growing mould. I didn’t notice and leant my backpack open against the mouldy wall so some mould got inside my backpack. Try to get a bottom bunk because the top bunks don’t get turned over so often and mine smelt like mould. Don’t do laundry here as it was given back to me still wet, They also lost my eye mask and the older lady (owners mum) just DGAF. The young woman is nice and tried to help. Bring flip flops as you can’t wear shoes there. Towels are for rent
So glad I went with this place, it’s tucked away from the main roads which feels super safe & relaxing. I highly recommend a private room with a balcony for the views & relaxation. There’s signs posted for quiet hours. Sometimes people are loud, but I felt fine politely asking them to respect it. Long reception hrs-I did the night hike through them & was worth it. Make sure you bring cash to avoid wire transfer. Can’t wait to return! :)
Fantastic hostel!
Cute looking hostel. But the most lockers in the rooms are broken :( Also I miss some more hangers to be able to dry clothes.
one of my favourite hostels i’ve ever stayed in, the place was very clean and the staff were great, perfectly location just a 2 minute walk into town and the staff were able to help with organising taxis and actives such as the night hike which i highly recommend!! bring cash to pay though, was also able to do my washing here for just .80cents a kg will 1000% be back just make sure to use the shower before everyone else or you’ll have to wait abit for the water to heat up again
One of my favorite common areas of any hostel I’ve visited. Sweet, gentle hearted co-travelers who I loved meeting and exploring Mindo with. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of cheap grocery stores a few minutes away. I initially booked two nights and stayed four. Highly recommend!
