I really enjoyed my time here. I was the only traveller - but got to talk and learn about Datong from my hosts. Bed super comfortable, shower nice and hot, good food right nearby. Great coffee too!!
I enjoyed my stay, Mingda was very friendly and helpful! He gave me good tips for restaurants and sights to visit. I would recommend this place!

The hostel was very quiet- no other guests. This hostel only opened this year. Maps and information about Datong itself is limited. There are shared toilets and showers. My room contained several long black hairs (on the floor, in bed,...), and I'm bald, so they are not mine. The bins for toilet paper were not changed during my stay. The staff tried to push an expensive tour package. The hotel is located in a skyscraper. It was quiet at night (but then again, I was the only guest).

Je suis resté 3 nuits dans l'auberge. J'ai eu la chance d'avoir réservé mes nuitées pendant une période de faible affluence, rendant mon expérience bien meilleure. Cependant l'auberge était propre, le personnel aimable (mon hôte parlant français, et m'ayant aidé à planifier mes journées). A clean, safe and friendly hostel with an excellent location and welcoming host. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit Datong. Easy access to buses to all the most popular tourist sites nearby, with a great view of Datong ancient city from the common area.
The best for everything: welcome, location, equipments, space, advices. Able to organize a day tour including hanging temple and Yungang grottoes. Not to miss !
Such a great welcome from Tina and Daniel, who made us feel like at home ! The accommodation is pleasant and Tina and Daniel speak English very well. They gave us very good advice from nearby restaurants and shops. They practice kung fu and they shared this passion with us by teaching us during two mornings the basis of this martial art!! That was a wonderful experience. Thanks to them we had an excellent stay in Datong. So we highly recommend this accommodation :)
Fantastic hostel! David is a amazing! He helped me since the first moment with everything (trips to the main attractions, get conected to alipay, where to go to buy sime gear that I need, places to eat,...) Hostel Is perfect located to go to the ancient city or if you new something in the new área. Hostel Is very clean and have a very nice open área where stay. I would repeat and recommend 100% to everyone.
Mingda was super nice, he helped with everything we needed, from booking the tickets to what to do everyday. The hostel is super clean and the rooms are very good. The kitchen doesn’t have an oven/cooker and the towels are not free. The only problem was the internet connection in the first days, but they changed in our last day and it improved a lot.
We had such a great time in DaTong. Mingda was so friendly and had sent us the exact location and pictures of the hostel in advance so that we could find it without any problems. When we arrived we talked for a long time and received great tips for the region. The hostel has beautiful, large and clean rooms with a great view of the city. We felt very comfortable. The hostel is an absolute recommendation if you want to travel to Datong!
My stay there was one of the best in China. The guy who manage the hostel, Minda, is so kind. He was taking care of me since I arrive, he speaks perfect English. The hostel is a huge flat with great views and clean and big rooms. For sure, I will repeat
Best stay during my trip in China so far. David is a incredible host, very nice and very helpful. The place is super nice, on the 22nd floor with a great view on Datong. Everything is clean and confy ! We had super long and nice discussions with David. If you want to more about China, David is happy to share with you. He also shared food with me and gave a phone cable. Really great stay i highly recommend it. Bonus he also speak fluent french !
