I’d like to thank Rukshan for his incredible hospitality. I highly recommend staying here because it’s such a cozy place. It’s brand new, so everything feels fresh and well-kept. It’s very comfortable, quite luxurious, and offers great value for money. Seriously the best hostel I’ve stayed in throughout my 7 months travelling. I’m so sad I wasn’t there for long because it was just so so nice. Super clean, nice style, the showers are great, it’s cosy, there’s a nice inside place to sit & hang out. The lovely family who own this make such an effort to be present and helpful. HIGHLY recommend!

Well located, very clean, good air conditioning and a great host! Layday Surf is just one dorm room with 4 bunk beds so it is very quiet which was amazing. A little bit difficult to find but the host was very responsive and promises a sign will be put up ASAP. To get there follow google maps- there is a large black gate that you need to open, once through the gate you will see a wooden platform with a door through to the layday surf area to the right of the house. LayDay is so wonderful! Newly built and so well designed, Rukshan has thought of everything. As a solo female traveller I felt totally safe - it’s a peaceful little sanctuary in Ahangama, just a 2-min walk to Kabalana Beach and great food spots. Super comfy beds, loads of luggage space, amazing showers, and absolutely spotless. Rukshan and his family are so kind and he keeps it immaculate daily. I extended my stay way longer than expected and didn’t want to leave - will 100% be back!

super chill hostel, very clean and nice bathrooms. the wifi is working well and there’s free drinkable water and ac. the owners make you feel super welcome :)

Absolutely perfect hostel Super clean and quite Perfect if you’re wanting to CHILL The family who owns the property are the cutest and have a bell in the room connected to their home if you need them. There’s curtains, aircon all day, filtered water and the bathroom is so clean with toilets separate to the showers!!! Couldn’t recommend this place enough ! Cleanest room I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka!!

Best hostel we have stayed in for sure! The host family is very lovely and they really want you to have the best stay possible. The room and shower are very clean! This hostel feels like pure luxury. 10/10 !!

Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Hostel wirklich jedem empfehlen. Alles super neu und gut durchdacht. Wir hatten alles, was wir brauchen. Das Badezimmer war sehr modern und sehr sauber. Die Besitzer haben sich mit großer Mühe um uns gekümmert und man hat gemerkt, dass es Ihnen wichtig ist, dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Everything is perfect, the owner is really caring. 1min from Kabalana beach. Everything is cosy and modern, full of storage, and clean.
